Larissa did not completely believe what the nurse said.

So. Larissa only smiled and thanked the nurse for her reminder. She then left the hospital with Aster.

Aster realized his mistake and apologized to Wendy with his head down. “Sorry, Godma. I will never do that again.” 

Wendy rubbed her stomach, frightened. But she was still kind and friendly to Aster. “Yeah, I forgive you.” 

Larissa eyed Wendy’s flat stomach before slamming the door shut. She went around the head of the car to get into the driver’s seat. 

Aster did not notice the heavy atmosphere in the car. He asked Wendy curiously. “Godma, did your boyfriend go away already?” 

Wendy’s smile froze. She forced herself to be calm as she replied, “No. Why do you ask?” 

Aster was more confused. “If your boyfriend is not gone, how come you have time to come get me?” 

Wendy turned around to grab Aster’s cheeks as she purposely asked through clenched teeth, “Oh, so I can’t miss you then?” 

Aster refused to accept her answer as he spoke out his own guess. “Is it because your boyfriend is too busy with work, so he can’t stay 

with you tonight?” 

Wendy squished Aster’s face harder. “Stop being such a gossip at such a young age! Aren’t you annoying 

Aster shut up at once. He looked like he understood. Less than two minutes later, he asked again. “Are we going out to eat today?” 

Kevan had been gone five days. In these five days, Larissa insisted on buying groceries from the supermarket after work to cook at home In order to maintain her “good mommy” image. This was to win back Aster’s heart, which had long since gone over to Kevan.
