Andelus continent was not the same like Ogregon continent, everything was rather confusing here for Nala and as someone, who didn’t interact much with people, she found herself was alone and lonely.
And with the fact that Lou would disappear for days or weeks it didn’t help at all.
And even though there were two servants that Lou paid to accompany her and help with whatever, Nala craved his presence.
"Are you going again?" Nala asked, she was eight months pregnant now. It was hard for her to move around and when she talked to Lou about this, hoping he would stay with her and help, his answer was to add more servants and guards to be around her.
And now, every time Nala was going out, it would look like she had a small entourage that tailed behind her.
"What? Is there food do you want to eat again?"
Lou was not completely neglectful. He would fulfill whatever Nala wanted when she craved for something, aside from his time.
"Can you stay? I really want you to stay." Nala stared at him, she didn’t know how to communicate her feeling anymore when she had told him the same thing countless time.
"What is it? Is there jewelry that you wanted?"
Nala sighed. "I don’t want those things. I only want you to stay with me. Can you do that? I really feel lonely."
"I will add more servants for you."
"Lou!" Nala was frustrated.
They lived in the biggest house in the capital city of Andelus Continent and Lou started his business here, therefore he had been busy. Actually, he didn’t really need to help Cane and Iris, as they lived in the Holy Kingdom.
"What? What did I do wrong again this time?" Lou was also frustrated.
"I want you to be here with me!" Nala was upset.
Lou fell silent for a while. "Why do you want me to be with you? I was here three days ago."
Nala opened her mouth and then clamped it again, she was furious, but she kept her composure. "Fine, if you wanted to leave. Go. You can come back when your child could run around."
After that, Nala went to her bedroom and cry, feeling very upset and emotional, until she fell asleep and just woke up because she felt someone stared at her intently.
She was startled when she opened her eyes and found Lou had been staring at her. He was sitting on the floor like a petulant child.
"Why are you here?"
"Woman!" Lou groaned. "You told me to stay and now you asked me why I am here?"
Nala wiped her face, she could feel the wetness on her cheeks, it seemed, she was crying even in her sleep.
"I thought you left."
"How can I leave when you are this upset."
"I have more upset than this, but you still left."
Lou groaned again. He poured a cup of water and handed it to her. "Stop crying. You are so ugly when you cried."
"I really wanted to hit you right now." Nala took the cup and gulped down the water, she felt slightly better and with the fact that Lou actually was here with her, she felt good, but she wouldn’t admit that. "So, why are you here?"
"I told you, right?"
"Even after all these years I have been with you, I still couldn’t understand you, Lou." Nala shook her head. "So, tell me why are you avoiding me?"
"I am busy. This is not the first time I left you for long time, right?"
Lou was right, but Nala felt there was something more and before she could prod, Lou admitted it himself.
"Sometime, it’s hard to be around you."
Nala felt her heart skipped a beat, she was afraid to hear the reason, because her first thought was Lou would leave her because she was not attractive anymore. Many men would leave their pregnant women to find other women to satisfy their needs anyway and Nala had witnessed that more than she wanted to.
She could understand if Lou met his needs somewhere else, though it hurt her, but she grew up to normalize such behavior.
Despite not wanting to hear the reason, she asked anyway. "Why? Why it’s hard?"
Nala wished Lou would just admit that he slept with another woman and not the fact he regretted to bring her here and wanted to send her back, along with her baby, just like his initial plan. He didn’t want this child to begin with.
"Why?" Nala prodded again when Lou didn’t give her an answer.
Lou looked her up and down, which made Nala felt self conscious, she knew that she gained a lot of weight due to her pregnancy, but she couldn’t help it.
"What is it?" Nala felt like she was about to cry. Damn. She was being too emotional.
Nala was too upset to speak. Somehow, she was still unable to figure out how this man chose his words. "Did you sleep with another woman?" freewebnovel.cσ๓
