The Serafim was a holy creature, blessed with divine power, a power that only belonged to her. She was the embodiment of pureness and compassion, someone without any sense of hatred, or anger.
But at the same time, she had a human heart, which brought about the contradiction to the purpose of her existence, and Na struggled to keep her heart pure after she met Lu.
That cursed creature was so... lively.
The way the lycan got angry on her behalf and felt upset, showing his emotions freely, which was something that a Serafim couldn’t do, was a comforting thing for Na in a twisted way. She lived through Lu emotionally, until she grew attached to him, so did the lycan.
Thus, when she lost him, there was nothing that mattered in her eyes anymore. The pain was so great, she couldn’t endure it.
Therefore, she used the forbidden magic, she divided her power and gave it to the five holy warriors, who would protect the next Serafim after her. Since Decratic was not completely destroyed, the cycle of the Serafims being born into this realm had started. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
This was the truth that no one knew aside from Na and Rei. People thought the Serafim existed to keep the balance and destroy black magic, but as it turned out, the cycle of the Serafims’ births was a result of Na’s selfish decision.
While her divine power was divided into five parts, Na begged Rei to take the essence of her life before she died...
And now, the essence of the first Serafim’s life was within Iris. It was not clear how she ended up with it, since the memory stopped when Rei took Na’s lifeforce.
Iris stared at both of her hands. She had her essence, but she didn’t have all of her power. What she had was not complete.
"How can you do that?!" Oliver was on alert when he saw how Iris’ hands exuded soft white light, as if she was holding luminous pearls in her hands.
Iris lifted her head and looked at Oliver. "I don’t have time to explain this to you." Probably the right words were; she didn’t know how to or where to begin the explanation, since this was something that even Iris was still trying to wrap her head around. "We need to find Cane first."
Oliver clenched his jaw and didn’t say anything anymore, while the rest didn’t dare to make a peep. The more they walked toward the horde of the monster, the more they could hear vicious growls and this dampened their spirits.
Iris could see how their beasts became restless the closer they got to their destination as deafening roars filled the air. Iris felt a little bit of a headache to hear such clamorous sounds, since her life had been very quiet and these sudden sounds irritated her.
"We can’t move further than this," Oliver said, as they hid themselves behind the trees. Because of the dark wisp, they could hide so easily. No one would pay close attention to where they were hiding, unless a monster came in their direction.
However, Iris didn’t feel the need to hide, as she walked ahead, emerging from the shadows of the trees before they could stop her.
