The second daughter of Elder Rose was only two years younger than Gabriel and because only a handful of people, who knew about her existence, thus when Rei didn’t return the second baby, no one made a fuss. There was no rumor about it as well, everyone involved, sealed their mouth and said nothing about this matter.
And for Elder Rose, it seemed, what happened to her second baby left a huge trauma on her, since she couldn’t confide this matter to anyone and she had to swallow her bitterness and grievances of losing her baby alone, especially when this baby was conceived out of love, not duty.
A mother, who lost their baby would understand what kind of hell that Elder Rose had to go through alone, therefore when she was being pregnant again in her not so young age, she detached herself from the baby instinctively, afraid the same thing happened again. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
But, after one year, Rei returned the baby and said she was the next Serafim. That was it. There was no answer for whereabout of her second daughter or what happened to her.
"I didn’t know much. That’s the only information that I can read in her record." Of course, the third baby was Abby. Rei returned Abby to Elder Rose, but the latter had detached herself, so much so, she didn’t even think Abby as her daughter.
"What the relationship between Rei and Elder Dandolf?" Cane finally opened his mouth and asked about the thing that kept bothering him.
Abby was thinking about it for a while. "Elder Dandolf and Elder Rania are part of pure faction."
It did make sense now about why Elder Dandolf communicated with Rei. "Do you know Rei is on his way here?"
"What? Rei? No way. The last time I learned about him, he was badly injured because of something a few months ago and he did ’the ritual’." Abby felt uncomfortable to disclose this information, after all, Rei’s health was not something you could discuss with anyone, especially about the ritual.
Just because Abby was the Serafim, she had the privilege to access such knowledge.
"No. He will arrive within this week. If things went smoothly for him, he would be here in two to three days." Lou was the one, who told her that.
"No way." Abby frowned, from her reaction, it was clear that she didn’t like this Rei man as well. "What he is doing here?" Abby was clueless, but Cane and Lou had a few ideas about the reason why Rei came.
Lou glanced at Cane and got the gist how the alpha wanted to play this out. "That’s the same question we want to ask you." He feigned ignorance. "Why did he come here? Will he help with Decratic?"
Abby gave some thought about it. "I guess so." She bit her lip nervously. "He must have received the map to the Great Shrine and had learned about your existence." Abby looked at Iris. "I don’t think this is surprising. He must have learned about the first Serafim’s life essence within you, after all, you said it yourself that you met him before and because his intention is always to dedicate his life to the first Serafim, it’s only right if he came here to protect you when we fight Decratic."
That logic made sense, but Cane and Lou knew more than that. Rei’s motive to come here was deeper than that.
After talking about a few things more, Abby’s only demand was to keep her baby and her two protectors safe and after some discussion, their only solution right now was; for them to leave Holy Kingdom and never return to Andelus continent.
"Let’s think about more solution for this," Iris said. "I am sure, we will figure out something better later on."
And with that, Abby was about to leave the tent, but she stopped at the exit and turned around to face Iris. "What are you going to do with the protection around Winter Moon pack? Will you take it down?"
