Blake's POV
"It is done." I sighed looking at the blue fire that burned around Isra's body not causing her harm. I had forced my beloved into a coma like state and set her on fire to calm and control her.
"Alpha was this absolutely necessary? Couldn't she help us find princess Tari?" Sable asked as we walked out of the special holding room that housed my deep sleeping Luna. "She was coming undone, I had to protect the rest of the pack." I said pinching the bridge of my nose as I faced my deeply concerned Beta female. "Sable there was no telling what she could have done with that much power overwhelming her. Remember she can also manipulate my own powers and the last thing we need is literal hell on earth." I shook my head as we made it back to the main house. "Alpha we can't find an exact scent only bits and pieces of an unfamiliar one that disappears at the western boarder." Luke bowed to me before wrapping his arms around his distressed mate. I looked away and felt a slight twinge in my heart knowing that I couldn't hold my own mate in her present condition. The look in Sables eyes told me she was torn apart and felt guilty for all of this. "Sable, No there was nothing you could have done differently you did what you could and I can't thank you enough for that." I said trying to reassure her. I saw her features relax as she stepped out of Luke's embrace. "We need to be hunting for a witch's scent." Tyler spoke up as we all regrouped in the kitchen. "No other packs around us have bad blood with us and have been neutral as to everything our packs dealt with. They wouldn't be responsible for this, I strongly feel the witch Drake was working with had something to do with this." Luke said. "We wiped out all of his followers so there's no one left who would even have a clue who the witch is or what they looked like." Sable pitched in.
I wanted to be more proactive and as quick to move as they were but in truth when I put Isra to sleep I realistically sent half of me with her because we are one. I feel like I can't do anything and honestly most of my power is being used to keep her down. If she awakens her rage won't mix well with Cerberus and it could be catastrophic. "Well Alpha?" Tyler asked bringing me back to their conversation. "Yes. I need you all to go see what you can find. I need to retire for the evening." I said turning to walk away. They all mind linked each other their concern for me thinking I could not hear it. I ignored their thoughts as I made my way up the spiral staircase to my room. I felt more and more drained with each step I took. Finally making it to my room I collapsed on the bed looking up at the ceiling. My breathing slowed as darkness and silence took over my senses.
