The Alphas Princess novel Chapter 5

*Isras POV*

"Mhhhh" I let out a sigh sinking my body in to the water. Sable and I had shifted and made it to the hot spring in no time. I looked at Sable she seemed disappointed with something. "Whats the matter little one?" I asked scooting closer to her in the water. I notice her blush at the sudden closeness of our bodies. "Nothing Lu- I mean Isra. It's just that usually the water is steamy and even warmer not hot but a soothing temperature." Sable said lowering her head to rest on my shoulder. "Ah ha my dear Sable that's an easy fix!" I exclaimed and raised my hand above the water and flattened my palm against it, then it begin heating and steam curled off of the surface.

"Wow" Sable said in excitement picking her head up from my shoulder. "How'd you do that?" She said in astonishment. "Water is my element. It is the element that guides, protects, and strengthens me. Water is one of the powerful spirits." I replied wrapping my arms around her pulling her closer. She sighed and moved to the other side of the hot spring and motioned for me to follow. I came near her and watched her eyes they seemed so focused on something in front of her. "Look" She said raising her arm up to point at the scenery before us. I gasped at the breath taking view. The sun was beginning to set on the western horizon. The view was something I don't think I've ever seen closely.

The way the orange light was fading against a sky of purple, blue, and black. I could hear the calls of owls in the distance. I saw the orange light grow dimmer and looked to the eastern boarder and saw the moon begin to rise. It was in a beautiful crescent now able to fully shine with the sun long gone. I relaxed even more taking in the sight of the dark and jeweled sky. I began to hear the light chirping of crickets. Sable reached out and grabbed a few locks of my hair and began running her fingers through them. "Your hair is so soft and so thick." She cooed and sniffed it. "Mhhh smells like lavender and something else kinda sweet." She was murmuring softly about wanting my hair. I flicked my tail up from under the water splashing her. "Ahh" She squealed flicking water at me with her hands. I laughed and raised my arms over my face in protest.

My ears picked up the sound of movement behind us and I lunged my body out of the water and held my hand behind me to will the water spirits to protect Sable. It swirled around her in response and the edges of it rose above the spring forming a dome. I snarled and extended my claws and canines prepared to defend Sable at all cost. The movement stopped and I saw Blake and Luke step out into the light.
