Damian intended to apologize to Sheryl for everything that had happened.
"Sher, I..." Damian started.
"Get out! I don't want to see you ever again!" Sheryl screamed, pointing to the door. She didn't want to see Damian, so she asked him to leave right away.
"Consider this your lucky day. The next time I see you, I'm going to punch you in the face." Nick tried to control himself. He clenched his hands into fists in order to threaten Damian.
"Sher, I'm sorry. Please listen to me. I just want to apologize to you." Damian looked at Sheryl with a sad expression on his face. He wanted to tell her that he didn't know the reporters would come. He also felt guilty for what he had done last night.
"I don't want to hear that.
Get out of my ward."
Sheryl put her hands on her head in distress. Nicky then promptly pushed Damian out of the room.
Damian didn't want to make Sheryl uncomfortable. He had no choice but to leave.
After that, Nick sat in front of Sheryl. He said with a worried look, "Sher, are you okay? I think I should call the doctor."
Sheryl looked pale, and Nick was very worried about her. He didn't call the doctor until Sheryl agreed to.
She shook her head and said in a very low voice, "I'm fine. I'd just like to be alone, please."
Nick agreed to leave, so he could give Sheryl some privacy.
"I'm leaving. Just rest, okay? I'll wait outside. If you need anything, just call me," Nick said, looking Sheryl in the eyes, so she knew he was serious.
Sheryl nodded. She didn't want Nick to worry about her.
After Sheryl agreed, Nick left.
As soon as Nick walked out of the ward, he saw Cassie. She was breathless and was about to open the door when Nick stopped her.
"Don't come in. Sher's resting," Nick said, sighing helplessly.
When Cassie wasn't gasping for air anymore, she said, rather confused, "Why? What's wrong? I heard the reporters came here because they wanted to see Sheryl. Was the strange man Damian from the photos?"
Cassie was also worried about Sher. So Nick tried his best to explain things to her as calmly as he could, "Yes, it was Damian. I wanted to hit him, but Sher stopped me."
Cassie rolled her eyes. She knew that Nick was impulsive. She touched his shoulder and said, "Don't be silly. You have to learn to calm down, or you'll get Sher into trouble. If you hit Damian, Sher would have to rush to Damian's defense. I'm sure Damian expected you to do that."
Nick then realized why Sher stopped him. He tapped himself on the head lightly, realizing how stupid he had been.
"Fortunately, Sher stopped me, or I don't know what I would have done." Nick sighed as he felt ashamed.
Cassie then comforted Nick.
"All right. I'm leaving now. You stay with Sher. If you need anything, please call me." Her colleagues were looking for her, so Cassie couldn't stay too long.
Nick watched as Cassie disappeared, feeling a little sad.
Suddenly, a group of men arrived in front of Sheryl's room. They were out of breath, and Nick stopped them.
"Who are you?"
