" Home sweet home " Carla muttered as she dragged her box in. The house was dark and quiet which meant Jenny wasn't home. She went straight into her room to have a nice, warm shower. Liam didn't call her once during the journey back home. What was wrong with the guy anyway? Wasn't he supposed to call her?? Carla thought and glared holes into the floor of the bathroom. She then decided to pay him a surprise visit to his company the next day. He knew she would be home today but didn't call to ask how her journey was like lovers do. Ugh! So bad of him, she thought irritably. You're not real lovers, a voice in her head said which made her all the more annoyed with him. So true but he should have at least played his part of a loving fiance, they would be getting married soon anyway, even if it was a fake marriage, she threw back. She changed into a pair of joggers and hoodie and settled down comfortably on the couch for hot tea. A knock on the main door intruded her nice time alone and she looked really pissed. She placed the tea carefully on the table and got up with a soft curse. It must be Jenny, she thought as she walked over to the door. An insult was on the tip of her tongue but it died down when she opened the door and saw who it was. Liam, the man in her dreams but he was the last person she expected to show up. She thought it was Jenny so she was about to haul insults at her for not calling her too.
" Missed me so much that you're shocked to see me, Bella? " He whispered and let himself in. He practically filled the doorway with his huge body.
Before she could utter any word, he carried her in his arms and her legs immediately wrapped around his torso. Her hold on his neck was so tight that she almost choked him.
" Hmm Bella, did you miss daddy? " He whispered, biting her earlobe lightly. She moaned at the contact and her eyes went closed immediately.
" Hmm? " He asked again, probing her to talk but there were no words on her lips because of the things he was doing to her body at that moment. She sighed contentedly and allowed herself to be nurtured like a baby because he treated her like one.
He brought her face up and cupped her cheeks while staring into her eyes deeply. Carla opened her mouth but Liam's wet tongue filled it instead of words. Her hands went around his neck and she responded to the kiss almost immediately. He was really a good kisser, she would give him that. They kissed like they had never done before. After a while, she broke the kiss to breath in air before he captured her mouth again, it was like he couldn't get enough of her. Carla's shrilling ringtone broke them apart, it was Jenny. She went to pick up her phone and looked back at Liam only to see that he was quite annoyed, she almost laughed at the view.
" Hey bitch! You back?! " Jenny's shriek made Carla put the phone a little bit away from her ear.
Carla scoffed " Coming from the mouth of someone who didn't call me once throughout the journey home, I'm back anyways, what's up? "
Jenny's voice turned sweet " Come on baby, you know that wasn't intentional "
Carla sneered " Really? What happened then? Why didn't you call me? "
" I'll explain everything later, it's a long story " Jenny said apologetically.
" You better do, I'm hanging up, bye " Carla said and made to hang up but Jenny stopped her.
" Carla wait! " She shouted
Carla rolled her eyes " What is it now? "
" Are you alone? Is someone there with you? " Jenny asked suspiciously.
Carla frowned slightly and looked back at Liam. He must have made some sort of sound for Jenny to have heard him.
" Huh? Uh... " Carla didn't know how to answer that so she thought buying herself some time would do the trick.
" Carla Reeds, is someone there with you? " Jenny asked again in a low, threatening voice.
" Uh... Yeah, Liam is here with me " Carla replied quietly and waited for Jenny's shriek again. But this time, Jenny didn't shout.
" Betrayal " Jenny muttered
" Sorry? " Carla asked, feeling guilty.
" That's why you didn't ask if I would be home tonight, isn't it? " Jenny asked quietly.
