When they returned to the mansion, the housekeepers had already cleaned the house. The dishes were placed on the dining table, and Edward helped to get everyone seated. 

Asher stood up with a wine glass in his hand and said, “Today is the marriage proposal day for Marie and 

Dennis. This matter is settled! There will be an engagement in the future, and you two must hurry to get 

married! It’s my honor to do it first. Don’t be polite, everyone. You are all friends of Marie and Dennis. Just 

treat it as your own home.” 

Marie stopped him and said, “Grandpa, you’re not allowed to drink.” 

Asher smiled and said, “It’s okay. I’ll drink less. Besides, isn’t Dr. Hart here? It’s okay.” 

Marie looked at Dennis, and he nodded. She then let go of her grandpa to happily take a sip of wine. She 

controlled him, and it had been long since he drank wine. 

Gavin and Dennis clinked their glasses and said, “Congratulations on having a baby soon.” 

Marie was speechless. 

Andres also raised his wine glass to toast her and said, “Marie, Dennis is a famous eligible bachelor in New 

York. Now that he is yours, you must hurry!” 

Marie was speechless. 

Only Iliana was a bit normal. She and Marle clinked their wine glasses and said, “Marie, congratulations. I 

wish you happiness.” 

Marie smiled and nodded. “Thank you.” 

Everyone was pleased during the meal. Having such a joyous occasion was rare, and everyone was having a 

good time. 

Asher was exhausted and drowsy. After sending him back to his bedroom, Marie and Edward went 

downstairs and sat at the dining table. 

The dishes in the kitchen had been changed for one round, and these people were still chatting while eating. 

Even Dennis was tipsy. 

Sitting beside him, Marie whispered, “Don’t drink too much, and don’t get drunk.” 

Dennis smiled. With the smell of alcohol and his evil charm, he said, “It’s okay. Don’t worry.” 

Marie was helpless, but tonight was indeed a happy event. Dennis was in a good mood and deserved a few more drinks. She didn’t stop him anymore. 

Dennis stretched out his arm and put it on the back of Marie’s chair as if he was holding her in his arms. He was full of possessiveness, causing everyone to laugh and say that Dennis was about to become a henpecked husband. 

Dennis smiled and said, “I’m willing to be controlled.”

Very well! What a great proposal! They couldn’t afford to be single. 

They drank a lot of red wine and beer, and the three men were drunk. Marie didn’t drink much, and Iliana was 

not in good health and had never drunk much, so they both sent the three men back. 

Marie called Cullen and asked him to pick up Dennis, then she followed him back to Glorious Estate. 

Iliana took a taxi to send Andres back, while Luca was responsible for sending Gavin back to his 

condominium. 

As soon as they entered Glorious Estate, Dennis picked Marie up, strode towards the bedroom, and kicked to 

open the bedroom door. 

The unfinished kiss in the garden continued here. 

She was more enthusiastic and domineering than in the garden before. Dennis huddled her in his arms and 

was well-behaved and quiet, but it made the drunken Dennis even more irritable. His hot breath smelled of 

alcohol, and he seemed on the verge of collapsing his self-control. 

Marie pushed him away and whispered, “Dennis, you’re drunk…” 

She wasn’t ready yet. She didn’t want to make such fast progress after being proposed tonight, and she didn’t 

want to be like this when Dennis was half drunk and half-awake today. 

Her soft tone irritated Dennis, but Marie suddenly felt a trace of pain in her neck. She frowned, pushed him 

away, and cursed, “Dennis! Are you a dog?” 

Dennis then released her with satisfaction and smiled helplessly. “Are you a demon?” he said. 

Marie pushed him and said, “Go take a shower! You stink!” 

Dennis suppressed her and tickled her, saying, “You little demon! Do you think I’m smelly now? Your man endured it so hard because of you! How dare you despise me!” 

Marie smiled and dodged, but Dennis pulled her back and tickled her fiercely. He watched her huddled up and 

rolled around in his arms. 

“No, I give up! Hahaha… I was wrong… Hahaha… I think you’re not smelly… I’m sorry… Hahaha…” 

Marie laughed and begged for mercy. She kept laughing like a toy doll. 

Dennis then let her go and said, “I’m going to shower. Help me take it off.” 

“Me, help you take it off?” She pointed at herself. 

“Yeah, is it hard to help your fiancé undress?” Dennis looked as if it was natural. 

Knowing that the man was unsatisfied and upset, Marie then helped him unbutton his shirt and said, “I’m 

done.” 

Dennis raised his eyebrows. “What about my pants?” 

Marlie was speechless.

She braced herself to unbuckle Dennis’ belt. Next, she couldn’t unbutton and pull the zipper. She lowered her head and struggled to pull out the belt. Dennis smiled and said, “Why are you so shy? You cannot have a baby if you’re shy like this!” 

Blushing, Marie glared at Dennis, threw him the belt, and cursed angrily, “Go take a shower!” 

Dennis laughed out loud and ran into the bathroom before he made her angry. 

After Dennis showered and came out, Marie was about to leave, but Dennis threw her into the bathroom. 

Feeling helpless, she took off her clothes and prepared to shower. 

Suddenly, she saw the beautiful diamond ring on her finger. The pink diamond emitted a soft light under the warm yellow light. The ring design was small and exquisite, showing the large and bright pink diamond and her slender and beautiful fingers. 

She looked in the mirror and realized that it was true. She had just agreed to Dennis’ marriage proposal. Maybe she would enter the marriage hall soon. It was the time, to be honest with each other and reveal those 

secrets she kept all this time. 

Marie carefully removed the ring and placed it on the basin before showering. Then, she carefully put the 

diamond ring on after finishing her shower. 

In her previous life and this life, she had seen countless priceless jewels, but this small ring was her most 

precious thing. She was afraid that she would break it. This was the ring that belonged to her alone, and it 

was tied to her future life. 

When she came out clean, Dennis quickly tucked her under the blanket before she could speak.
