She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. The red marks on her neck were printed on her 

snow-white skin, and she roared, “Dennis Whitney!” 

Dennis, who was far away on the plane, sneezed suddenly. Cullen immediately asked, “Mr. Huard, did you 

catch a cold?” 

Dennis shook his head and smiled, “Maybe Marie misses me.” 

Cullen was speechless. 

He was already so jealous when they were dating. Now that they were engaged, they were too much for single guys like him. 

Dennis stopped smiling and asked, “Clayton said he had something to tell me. Did you find out about Rose?” 

Cullen shook his head and said, “I don’t know. Mr. Philemon insisted on telling you in person. Maybe he found something. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have let you come here like this.” 

Dennis didn’t show any emotion on his face, but Cullen knew he was worried that among the things Clayton. had discovered, there would be implications involving Marie. 

Back in New York, after washing up. Marie changed into a turtleneck dress to cover the red marks on her 

neck and returned to the Spence mansion. Dennis just proposed to me yesterday and I didn’t come home with

about me?” 

Asher looked at her cheerfully. “You are my granddaughter, and Dennis is my grandson-in-law! It’s the same to 

care about anyone.” 

Marie retorted, “Grandpa! What grandson-in-law? Don’t always talk about this.” 

Asher was not annoyed and continued with a smile, “Okay, I won’t talk about it anymore, but you and Dennis 

have to be careful. It’s not good to have a baby if you’re not married yet. You still have to be careful…” 

“Grandpa!” With a flushed face, Marie looked at Asher as if she would run away from home if he continued 

speaking. 

Only then did Asher wave his hand and concede. “Okay, okay, I won’t say anymore.” 

Marie sighed. The proposal really made Asher extremely happy. In the past few days, Asher was never in low 

spirits. Every day, he couldn’t wait to urge Marie and Dennis to get married soon!

Marie sneered, “Why? Your son had a car accident. You should ask him. I’m not his mother, there’s no need 

for me to stay with him in the hospital all day!” 

Mia had always acted so pitiful in front of Mason, crying with a torrent of tears. If it weren’t for Mason supporting her, Mia would have knelt down. She cried, “Marie, I’m begging you. Just go and see Noel. He just woke up and is already clamoring to be discharged. How can he recover properly in such a weak state?”
