Chapter 212
After taking her to heaven and beyond, Kris prepared a bath in the bathroom, where they washed and cleaned off the sweat and grime from their countless rounds of lovemaking.
Of course, Kris didn't miss the opportunity to give her another orgasm with his fingers.
Once they were freshened up and dry, Thalassa went to her room to get dressed, while Kris headed to the guest room he'd been given to change into one of the outfits he had ordered and received the night before.
They met up in the hallway and went together into Alex's room, but finding it empty, they made their way downstairs.
As soon as Betty laid eyes on them, the older woman broke into a knowing smile. She was sitting on one of the couches in the living room while Alex sat in front of her, using crayons in a coloring book.
“Good morning, Betty,” Kris greeted.
Betty scoffed. “It's already some minutes past twelve. Not that you two would know, being so busy up there.”
Thalassa flushed, narrowing her eyes at her. “Betty!”
Betty's smile broadened even more. “I made enough breakfast for you two, thinking you'd be down for it. How naive of me not to know that you were keeping each other very well-fed.”
“Betty!” Thalassa groaned, her cheeks turning even redder. She looked so cute that Kris couldn't help but chuckle as he wrapped his arm around her and planted a kiss on her temple.
“Okay, okay,” Betty said, throwing her hands up in surrender, looking quite amused. “I'll go heat up the food for you since it can't go to waste.”
As she got to her feet, her smile turned from teasing to genuinely warm as she looked from Kris to Thalassa. “I am so happy for you, Lassa. I might as well be the one who was lying on my back all night long.”
Thalassa's eyes widened. “Betty!”
But the older woman was already scurrying off with a laugh. Thalassa shook her head as she glared at her back, though she couldn’t help but smile too.
“I really like her,” Kris said.
“Everyone likes Betty.”
“Mummy, look!”
The voice of their little boy drew their attention. Alex was holding up his small coloring book, proudly showing off his work. It was a picture of a lion, but he had colored it blue.
“Wow!” Thalassa cooed, crouching down beside him. “It’s beautiful, sweetheart. Good job!”
