"No way, I don't want to hear it!"
Felicity turned her face away, refusing to look at him any longer.
"Felicity..."
"We're over, you know? Telling me you love me now, what's the point?" She struggled to pull her hand away.
At first, Miles wouldn't let her go, not until she frowned and exclaimed, "Ouch..."
He immediately released her, his eyes anxiously scanning for any sign of injury he might have caused.
Seizing the moment, Felicity pushed him away and quickly got up!
"You better go dry off your clothes and then get out of my room! Or else I'm calling Ms. Sanchez, telling her you're squatting in my room and won't leave!"
"..."
"I mean it!" she said, reaching for her phone.
"Stop." Miles knew all too well what his mom was like; even calling his dad wouldn't have stirred trouble. "I'm going now."
As he stood up, Felicity was about to breathe a sigh of relief when she saw him wince and then clutch his forehead!
He looked genuinely pained.
"What's wrong with you?" she couldn't help but ask, despite herself.
"I...I'm feeling a bit dizzy." Miles's admission was half true, half feigned.
With little rest and an actual wound on his head, dizziness wasn't surprising. But it wasn't so severe that he had to act this way.
Part of it was definitely an act.
"Dizzy now, huh? I'm starting to think you're faking it." Despite her words, Felicity found herself unconsciously moving closer. "Didn't you sleep on the flight over from Anglonia?"
"With all that on my mind, how could I sleep..."
She paused, "And how long have you been awake now?!"
"I'm fine, really." Miles slowly made his way to the bathroom. "I'll go dry my clothes and then—"
"Continue to stand outside."
"..." Felicity really wanted to roll her eyes at him. "You must be really sick."
She glanced at the bedroom door, ultimately unable to harden her heart.
"So, if you leave my room, you'll just stand outside, right?"
As soon as she lay down, sleep came over her!
She suddenly realized that her previous restlessness wasn't due to too much sleep but rather... knowing Miles was outside, she was worried.
Now that he was sleeping in the bedroom, she could finally rest easy.
Not long after she fell asleep, Miles crept out.
But before he could even reach the couch...
Suddenly! Calvin's room door swung open from the inside.
The two men locked eyes, but it was Calvin who recovered first.
He didn't seem too surprised to find Miles there, as if he'd expected him to come in.
"She's gone soft after all."
"Calvin, thanks for looking after her for me."
"Heh." Calvin snorted, "You're mistaken. I look after her because I like that silly girl, not to do you a favor."
But it's no use; it seems... she still prefers her Langston.
