Ronan happened to glance back and caught Harold staring at Cordelia with a tender, longing gaze. The smile that had been playing on Ronan's lips vanished instantly. Emerson and Daniella exchanged a knowing look before they excused themselves, taking Ronan along with them.

Janice, having finished mending the badge, handed it back to Harold and then approached Cordelia. "Was it really necessary to slap Dr. High?" she chided. "Couldn't you have handled it differently?"
