Even though Carmella's caught on to my act, I keep up the act and shrug. "What do you mean you're not stupid?"

She gets off of me with a frustrated grunt and sits beside me while pushing her well styled hair back.

"You seriously don't love me anymore."

"I didn't say that." I sigh.

She sneers. "You didn't have to say it because it's not like it was before. I know it's because of that fucking bitch!"

"Hey, don't you dare bring Vanessa into this." I raise my finger at her. "Whatever it is you're thinking, you better forget about it."

She bursts into laughter, then suddenly straddles me and wraps her arms around my neck. "Why would I go after that bitch when I can still have you all to myself? So what if you're not into me as much as you were before? Fuck it because you're still mine. And the day you decide that you no longer want it to be the case, that's when I'll take action."

Irritated, I hold onto her thighs, about to push her off. "Are you threatening me right now?"

She chuckles. "Of course not. I'm just reminding you. Now, where were we?"

She flinches a little at the tone of my voice and drops her hand, but soon shakes her head and walks past me to head upstairs.

"You're about to fucking regret this!" she warns me.

Wondering what she's up to, I follow her and as soon as I get to the bedroom, she's already on her computer, typing an email to the gossip site and I panic, but I'm more fed up with having to be here.

"Are you seriously doing this?" I ask, standing right behind the chair.

"Watch me."

It seems that she means it right now and I can't let her do it but at the same time, I refuse to bend to her desires, so even though I'm bluffing, I decide to give it a shot.

Placing my hands on the sides of the chair, I lean forward as I say, "Do it and I walk out that door. I'll completely get rid of you from my life and I'll take the security outside with me."

She suddenly stops and a few seconds later, clicks off the tab, lowering her head while breathing heavily.

"That's what I thought." I smirk.

Just as I let go of the chair and straighten up, I remember something else.

"Why did you take those pictures and send them to Vanessa when you promised to stay away from her? What you and I have going on has nothing to do with her."

"It definitely does!" She jerks her head in my direction before rising from her seat.

"I'm going to warn you one last time." I pause as I approach her and tower over her. "The last thing I want is for Vanessa to be under any type of stress now that she's pregnant, so stay the fuck away from her."

"Isn't it crazy how the tables have turned?" She shakes her head. "You now defend and protect that bitch like crazy!"
