The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1568

The bad news was a heavy weight on Bella’s shoulders.

“Don’t be sad, Bella. Your father will make a full recovery since medical technology is so advanced now.”

Justin held her tight in his embrace, pressing her head against his chest. He patiently and firmly consoled her, “If we can’t get your father the help he needs here, I’ll take you and him abroad across the world to find a doctor. He’ll get better. Everything will get better.”

“I’m sorry, Bella, kids…”

As a dam of emotions came crashing down, Mila closed her tear-filled eyes. “Don’t blame Arnold. I gave him strict instructions not to tell you. I didn’t want you to be scared and worried, so I tried to keep the information from you as long as I could. I planned to tell you once I found the right treatment plan. I could’ve done more. It’s all my fault.”

Arnold felt a lump in his throat. “Don’t do that to yourself, Aunt Mila.”

“Aunt Mila, we understand where you are coming from.”

Asher pulled himself together and said in a hoarse voice, “It’s not Arnold’s or your fault. I could’ve been a better son to Dad.”

“Me too. I could’ve been more of a family.” Axel sniffled.

“Ditto.” Even Drew blamed himself.

“It’s neither of your fault.”
