“I’ll be fine. Don’t do this again.” Yvonne kept her head down, her ears tingling from the brush of their skin. “If you feel bored, you can find trouble elsewhere. I don’t ever want to see you at Pivotage again. I mean, I don’t want to see you ever again.”

Drew rubbed his tongue along his teeth. “Ha. You’re not the boss of me.”

Yvonne’s breath hitched, and she bit her lip.

She knew he could take a hint.

However, Drew was stubborn.

The Thompsons were the hardest people to deal with.

Drew’s eyes searched Yvonne’s blushing face.

Drew pulled himself together and spoke nonchalantly, “I believe Christopher would be suspicious of you now that James is busted. He would try to hurt you. Christopher intended to threaten James with the evidence and get something out of it. His plan is destroyed now. Haha! I bet he’s livid.”

Yvonne was lost for words.
