When Drew heard Yvonne’s steady breathing, he got up and walked over lightly, kneeling on one knee beside the bed, his deep gaze staring at her calm and peaceful face.

Yvonne seemed to have heard it, her long eyelashes fluttering, a hint of wetness on the corners of her eyes.
