The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1789

“Teddy… My teddy bear…”

In the suffocating darkness, Carrie leaned closely against the cold wall, her body trembling. She curled up with her arms around her knees.

The man had taken her teddy bear. It was as if he had shattered her soul and stripped away her spine.

Her mind was blank, with cold sweat dripping down her pale, beautiful face.

“Ryan… Where are you? Please come and save me…”

Suddenly, all the lights in the room turned on.

Numerous cold, incandescent beams struck Carrie’s pallid face like the harsh glare of an interrogation lamp, further pushing her already fragile mind to the brink.

“Ryan… I’m so scared... Ryan…” Tears streamed incessantly from her tightly shut eyes.

Carrie could not think of anything.

Even the tender, loving moments she had shared with Ryan began to blur, distort, and fade in her memory.

Suddenly, a gigantic screen on the wall flickered to life.

Carrie painfully opened her swollen and reddened eyes, tears filling her vision.

She saw the woman on the screen covered in wounds, tightly bound and blindfolded. It was unmistakably Yasmin.

Her mental state shattered completely.

In the Hoffman Group boardroom, the board meeting proceeded as scheduled.
