The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1823

Bella and Justin’s expressions turned grim after hearing it.

“Or, he cleans up the crime scene meticulously every time, leaving no trace of evidence. But it doesn’t fit the style of a desperate criminal and top-tier hitman.”

Ralph rubbed his chin, calmly analyzing, “So, I’m leaning toward the guess that someone hired him from abroad.”

“If that’s the case, it will be more difficult to investigate him. That man must’ve disappeared immediately after doing this and might’ve already crossed the border with a fake identity.” Justin’s gaze darkened.

“Didn’t Yasmin see that man’s face? She can come to the station tomorrow and describe his appearance based on her memory. We can get the best profiler in our province to draw a portrait of that assassin.”

A dark light flashed across Ralph’s clear eyes. “With the portrait, we might get more clues. We can’t delay this matter for too long, or the portrait will not be accurate because a human’s memory will fade. Only a portrait drawn while the memory is fresh will be precise.”

Bella and Justin exchanged a glance, about to say something when a sweet, gentle, yet calm voice rang out behind them.

“I remember his face.”

Ralph quickly looked up. When Carrie’s frail figure walked down the stairs, entering his sight, his beating heart pounded fiercely against his chest.

He hurriedly stood up from the sofa, the warm blood flowing in his veins seemingly starting to stir.

Justin realized. “Yeah, Carrie was in contact with that man too.”

Bella pursed her lips slightly, walked to Carrie, and held her shoulder gently. “Carrie, we’ll contact Yasmin tomorrow. Let her handle this. You don’t need to do or think about anything. Just focus on getting better.”

She knew that although Carrie looked fine, her mind was still tortured by the traumatic events and the breakup with Ryan.

Bella even wanted to take Carrie for MECT therapy to make her forget everything that happened that day. How could they force her to recall those painful memories and cause further damage to her already shaken mental state?

“Carrie, don’t force yourself.”
