Bella trembled. Her eyes were filled with loss and shock. “Justin…”
The blinding lights of the cameras erupted once more, capturing Justin’s retreating figure.
The crowd exchanged bewildered glances.
“Justin, where are you going?!” Ryan stared in astonishment.
Just as Ryan was about to chase after him, Ian abruptly stopped her. “Chairman Hoffman, let me go instead!”
With that, Ian took off in pursuit.
Ryan looked toward the wide-open doors, an inexplicable sense of foreboding rising in his mind.
“Ryan, stay here and watch over Bella. Arnold has left—I’m going to find him!” With a solemn expression, Asher strode away without hesitation.
“Hey! You—!” Ryan clicked his tongue in frustration, grinding his teeth. “Why is it always me babysitting?!”
The reporters surged forward, surrounding Grant in an instant.
Clarice tried to shield him with her own body, but she was a delicate woman wearing high heels. The group of reporters shoved her around, leaving her utterly disheveled and embarrassed.
“Mr. Grant, when Mr. Justin has been removed, you stood to gain the most! After all, you took his position! There’s growing suspicion from the public, claiming you orchestrated this, that this is an internal power struggle within the family—a ruthless battle between brothers! What do you have to say about these accusations?”
“Was it you who ordered the police investigation against Mr. Justin?”
Clarice trembled, cold sweat breaking out all over her body.
Yet, Grant remained astonishingly composed. His gaze cut through the crowd, locking onto Bella, who stood at the edge of the commotion. Her posture was unyielding as she stared coldly at him.
His voice was deep and steady, without the slightest tremor. It was as if every action he had taken was righteous, beyond reproach.
“First of all, you are all mistaken. I did not take anything from Justin. I merely reclaimed what was rightfully mine. The Salvador family has always passed down the position of successor to the eldest son. It was that way in my father’s generation, and it is the same in mine. Now that I have returned from my recovery abroad, the presidency of Salvador Corporation belongs to me. Even if my brother had not been removed, the position should still be mine.”
Grant spoke without a change in expression, as if it were an indisputable truth, acting completely shameless.
“Secondly, Salvador Corporation is a publicly traded company. The appointment and dismissal of its president is not my decision alone. Justin’s removal was the result of a board resolution and vote. It had nothing to do with me.”

Please update regularly...
Thanks for bringing Ryan back. Totally missed him...
I am reading this book from last year. Its very long story but at start i find enjoyable.Still there is no closure , dragging the story and the writer is running out of ideas. Its frustrating that they don't upload chapters regularly....
If you are about to start reading this “ongoing” book….don’t. It’s a great read but mo regular updates and leaves you hanging. Took me months to get to chapter 2370 (this app only has it to chapter 2368….learned to search different links to read ahead a bit). These ongoing books are just not worth the time since their author (s) take days/weeks to upload new chapters. Again great sultry, long drawn out at times, but not worth the frustration of no new updates....
No update in 6 days!!! Really??? I’m about over this story and ready to move on, the wait is to long....
Pls update regularly or least let us know why it's taking so long...
Ok I was thinking last night. I really hope the author hasn’t been affected by hurricane Helene. Not sure where they are located but I hope everyone is safe...
It’s been 87 years since the update with only 2 chapters. 🙄...
