"Mr. Webster..." Ranita leaned closer towards Chris, "why don't we stop bidding... this is too expensive! The starting price is 500, 000 dollars but now it has already gone past 1 million dollars!"

Auction prices rising slightly was normal but mainly because Ranita saw how determined Brendon seemed to win this particular item - she didn't want to waste money fighting over something unnecessarily!

"Are you sure you don't want me to keep bidding?" asked Chris leaning towards her - from certain angles they almost seemed like they could be whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears - very intimate yet full of warmth!

Holly sitting on their opposite side gritted her teeth in frustration wishing desperately that she could just walk up there herself and pull them apart, but she instead found herself being held back by Shannon who whispered lowly "Holly don't do anything rash!"

Shannon smiled. "When I buy it, I'll give it to you."

Holly was even more satisfied now. She would definitely wear the necklace in front of Ranita and make her jealous!

But Ranita didn't think too much about it. She frowned at Brendon as he bid again and then turned to Chris. "Let's not bid anymore."

She had planned on buying the necklace as a gift for someone else, but if she couldn't get it, she could choose something else.
