Chapter 171 The Three

"We're just chatting casually," Steve took two steps forward before hooking his arm around Chris' neck leading him along but gestured towards Ranita with his hand behind his back.

Who knew Dr. Pearson had such an immature side?

Ranita smiled slyly from the corner of her eye when suddenly she froze mid-step.

At the entrance were familiar faces that stung at her eyes; everyone from the Stuart family including Shannon who wore a white dress resembling that of royalty stood there too.

"Ranita! What are the odds we'd meet here too?" Shannon greeted Ranita with enthusiasm but glanced over at Chris and Steve saying, "Chris! You guys are here too? Did you come out to eat with Ranita?"

"I just got discharged today so Brendon suggested we celebrate together outside since there'll be more people making it livelier."

Shannon stood next to Brendon; their combination looked stunning especially since they were accompanied by the Stuart family members which made their group look complete as if they belonged together perfectly.

With indifference written all over face, Ranita glanced briefly at Shannon before saying, "We don't want to trouble anyone else. We've already reserved our seats."

"You're right, Ranita is absolutely correct. You enjoy your meal while we go ahead." Steve waved goodbye without any expression on his face then nodded slightly towards Amiya before turning around entering into a room.

They booked a private room for the three of them. Ranita remained silent, quietly drinking her water. Steve propped up his chin and spoke, "Do we need to find another restaurant?"

Chris nodded in agreement, "If you don't want to eat here, we can go somewhere else."

"Thank you, but it's okay," Ranita paused before continuing. "They can eat their food and we'll eat ours."

Ranita started off feeling a bit down but as they discussed work throughout dinner she put her emotions aside.
