"But what can you do about it?" Holly continued speaking, "My brother just doesn't like you that way! He has feelings for Shannon instead! Even if you were dying here right now vomiting non-stop, he wouldn't care about what happens."
Holly's words hurt Ranita's feelings deeply.
As the conversation took a turn, Holly's face was filled with disgust. "If my brother doesn't want you, then have some self-awareness and don't cling onto Chris! Whether it's Steve or Chris, they are both out of your league!"
Ranita looked at Holly coldly and said, "Miss Stuart, please watch your words. Dr. Pearson, Mr. Webster and I are innocent."
Ranita felt that there was no point in explaining to Holly anymore as she seemed like a lunatic.
"Excuse me. I don't want to argue with you here," Ranita said.
"Ranita, do you think I want to bother with you? It's you who's shameless..." Holly was about to continue her rant, but Ranita interrupted her, saying, "You're right. I'm shameless."
"What?" Holly was puzzled by Ranita's statement. "What did you say?"
"I said I'm shameless. You can have it since you clearly don't have shame!" Ranita replied.
Holly took a few seconds to comprehend and then got so angry that she gritted her teeth, exclaiming, "Ranita, you're asking for trouble!"
In her impulsiveness, Holly raised her hand to strike, but Ranita was faster. She firmly held Holly's wrist and pushed it away, saying, "Holly, if you try anything, don't blame me for not being polite!"
Holly, who had no bodyguards with her, knew she couldn't handle Ranita on her own. Her teeth audibly ground together, and it took her a while to utter, "Just wait and see!"
