"If they're beyond your control, then why bother apologizing? My lawyer has already collected evidence; let's hope Miss Murphy can behave properly from now on."
The tone of Ranita's words became more serious with a hint mockery mixed within them.
"Ranita... I... I really didn't do anything!" Shannon pointed the camera at her own face, looking pitiful and heartbroken. "I never thought Paityn would post that kind of tweet. I've been trying to get her to delete it, but she's not easy to persuade... I'm really sorry that I couldn't help you."
Shannon tried to show that she had done everything she could, but Ranita's attitude was downright terrible in comparison.
To make matters worse, Shannon turned to Brendon and cried out, "Brendon, I really didn't do anything! I don't know how I offended Ranita; she just wants to blame me."
Ranita couldn't help but laugh out loud. But in front of Brendon, she couldn't even vent her anger properly and could only turn around in frustration.
"Ranita!" Brendon grabbed her arm and said while turning towards Shannon, "Shannon, Ranita doesn't blame you. She's just not feeling well lately so sometimes what comes out of her mouth isn't appropriate."
Ranita almost shook off Brendon's hand.
Why should she have any restraint when Shannon disgusted her every day? Why should it be okay for bad things happened because no one loved or cared about her?
Her heart felt like it was filled with cactus needles poking holes all over.
"Shannon, let me handle Paityn's side of things. You also need to delete your tweet," even though Ranita didn't say it directly, he still needed follow through with his responsibilities.
Shannon pouted and asked pitifully, "Brendon... did I do something wrong? All my tweets were meant to help Ranita! And the management has already dealt with those fans who were insulting Ranita online; honestly speaking, they're just a bunch of haters."
Brendon always had more patience for Shannon than anyone else.
