"Acquainted?" Iris side-eyed Samuel and said, "Samuel, don't be fooled. Someone saw her constantly going into Mr. Bradford's office, and she stayed in there for more than half an hour every time!"

Samuel's gaze was grim. All he did was stare at Kylie without a single word.

Kylie asked defiantly, "What is that supposed to prove?"

"You have an obscene relationship with Mr. Bradford!" Iris said confidently, which made Kylie chuckle.

She frowned and asked, "What are you chuckling at?"

"Our brain is a wonderful thing." Kylie was being subtle with her sarcasm. She enunciated, "It's a shame that you don't use it."

"Why, you!" Iris was stumped.

"Do you think it's that easy to slander someone, or do you just assume that everyone doesn't pack a brain the same way you do?" Kylie raised an eyebrow. She was merely 20 years old, but that didn't stop her from exuding a fierce air of intimidation.

"Just how much do you hate me? You're accusing me of having an obscene relationship with Mr. Bradford based on the two insignificant things you said. If that's the case, you and Scott are far more suspicious. I'd even wager that you two have rolled in the hay countless times."

What a calculated sarcasm. The last thing Iris expected was for Kylie to bring Scott up, and she couldn't think of anything to say. Her expression immediately changed, and her face turned red with rage.

That said, she quickly calmed down and said, "I wouldn't have had anything to do with him if it wasn't for your meddling. We're talking about you and Mr. Bradford, and yet you keep changing the topic.

"That's classic diffident behavior. Samuel's here. If you ask me, you should just come clean with everything while you have the chance."

Kylie looked at Samuel.

His expression was grim, and his eyes were brimming with rage. He seemed to share Iris' suspicion. Did he also think that she had an ambiguous relationship with Jeremiah?

"Is that what you think, too?" Kylie asked as she stared at Samuel.
