The Enchanting Doctor With a Bite novel Chapter 94

Dominic was rushed to the hospital as fast as possible.

Kylie ran to the ambulance just as the medics opened the doors. One of them was wiping sweat from his brow with a grim expression.

"We were still too late," he said. "He didn't make it."

"No way." Kylie's voice trembled in disbelief.

The medical staff had already covered the body with a white sheet.

Kylie had dealt with death too many times to count—she didn't need to see it to know.

The sharp, iron tang of blood hit her the moment she got closer to the body.

She climbed into the ambulance and pulled back the white sheet.

Dominic's face was pale, with blood trickling from his nose and mouth.

No breath. No pulse. Not to mention, his face was covered in bruises—a clear sign of a beating.

He was dead.

Kylie froze as if she'd gotten struck by lightning.

Judging from the state of the body, Dominic was beaten first, then poisoned.

And the poison wasn't mild either. It was lethal—instant. There hadn't even been time to attempt a rescue.

The crash had already been difficult to trace, and now, with Dominic dead, the trail was stone cold.

Who the hell had the power to do this—so clean and fast—that even Samuel's people couldn't find a damn thing? Or was that just what Logan wanted her to believe?

Soon, a forensic team was called in to examine the body.

The results came back fast—two broken ribs, a fractured wrist, and multiple signs of physical assault. But none of that had killed him. In fact, the actual cause of death was the poison in his food.
