Chloe chuckled, the couple indeed had a bond. 

“What’s up?” Chloe answered the call. 

“Tonight, I’m moving into the Olson family. You should come back home.” The voice was filled with provocation. Clearly, 

Keira was alone now. 

“Do you think that’s possible?” Chloe sneered. 

“Weren’t you over Lance a long time ago? What are you afraid of?” 

“Don’t try to provoke me. There’s nothing I’m afraid of. I just can’t stand your faces. That place is a shithole, why would I step into it? Am I crazy?” 

Keira gripped her teeth in anger at Chloe’s words, “Chloe, enjoy your pride while it lasts. Your day to cry will come!” 

Chloe suddenly went silent. 

Keira frowned, “Why aren’t you saying anything?” 

“…I’m just thinking about whether I should enjoy your smug face tonight?” 

Keira sneered, “So, you’re planning to come tonight?”

Chloe rarely showed this cunning and sly side of herself.

“What are you laughing at?” Chloe tossed her phone aside. 

Rose as still laughing. “Love really does wonders, doesn’t it? You’re becoming cheekier by the day. Got a man to back you up, and now you talk like you’re invincible?” 

Chloe didn’t argue, “It’s not like you don’t have a man.” 

Rose’s face stiffened a bit. She gave a faint smile, and lowered her head to the magazine again. 

After leaving Rose’s house and returning to the office to finish the day’s paperwork, it was already past work hours. 

As she left the office, Rose called to ask whether the roses at the wedding should be red, white or champagne. As Chloe walked, she pondered, “Considering the lighting at the venue and the overall color scheme, red might be too bold and might look tacky. White might clash with your wedding dress and venue decor. How about champagne?” 

“Alright, champagne it is then!”

“I know. But it’s a once in a lifetime event, I don’t trust others to plan it. I’d rather do it myself from the start, and I enjoy doing it.”
