Chapter 344
Madison grabbed the folder from Harvey and placed it on the table at the side. She said, “I asked Harvey to investigate the matter and collect the documents because I wanted to know something. When overwhelming evidence is placed in front of you, will any of you feel even a shred of guilt toward me?
“Will anyone ask Rebecca to apologize to me? I now have my answer. You won’t. The criminals‘ blade wounded me, but even if I had been killed back then, you people wouldn’t have held it against her regardless.”
After Madison said that, everybody’s expression changed drastically.
Madison turned to Harvey and said, “Let’s go, Harvey!”
Harvey nodded.
Harvey followed Madison out of the place. He had only taken a few steps when he turned around and stared at his family. He said, “Dad, Mom, did you see the documents at the back? Rebecca learned that she wasn’t biologically related to us when she was 18. She then sought out Maddie and harmed her.”
After saying that, Harvey left the place.
He had just walked past the threshold when he noticed that Madison’s expression was off as she looked at him.
“What’s wrong?” asked Harvey.
Madison asked, “Did you say something earlier?”
Harvey realized that Madison’s expression was especially grim, so he repeated what he said earlier. He then added, “I can’t let you suffer in silence.”
Madison couldn’t speak. She just sighed internally.
“Call Ms. Wynn now. Oh, make it a video call!”
Harvey was confused, but he did as Madison asked anyway. He initiated a video call, and soon, a line was established.
Judging by the background, Serena was shopping on the streets. She smiled warmly at the camera and raised her hand to show Harvey the shopping bags. She said, ” I went to shop for some baby clothes. They’re adorable.”
Harvey was about to reply when Madison snatched his phone over. She requested, “Ms. Wynn, please show me your surroundings.”
Serena nodded and adjusted the camera so that Madison could examine the surroundings thoroughly. After that, Serena asked, “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Madison quickly did a divination to figure everything out. She forced herself to stay calm as she instructed, “Ms. Wynn, please move in the southeast direction. There’s an enormous jewelry store there. Please head in.”
Serena frowned slightly and replied, “A jewelry store? But I don’t feel like getting any accessories now.”
Madison’s tone was firm when she urged, “Please do as I say right away,”
Harvey sensed how serious the situation was when he heard Madison’s tone. He turned his attention to the camera and said, “Serena, just do as Maddie asked.” Serena didn’t know what to say. Although she was confused, she still did as Madison asked. She moved in the southeast direction and reached a corner. That was when she saw an enormous jewelry store. She asked, “Do I go in?”
“Yes, get in.”
Serena held her phone and entered the store.
She had just gotten in when a loud noise came from behind her. It was accompanied by countless agonized screams.
Serena turned around to look, and a soft yelp escaped her lips.
Everyone inside the jewelry store was curious as well, so they looked out the window.
“Did something fall? It sounded like a billboard.”
