Meredith went downstairs and soon took a taxi to the rendezvous spot.
What she didn't know was that the moment she came downstairs, Derek's man who had been arranged in advance kept heeding her movements. They followed her in the car as they called Derek, reporting Meredith's departure.
...
In the Xaviers
Derek was discharged from the hospital. Although he himself insisted that there was no need for any unnecessary action, the Xaviers did not dare to neglect him.
Some relatives and friends were invited to the home. And the Xaviers even put a god statue in the house superstitiously.
The rest of them, Derek, felt easy to deal with, but he didn't expect that... Chloe was here too.
Derek's bald refusal seemed to deal a blow to Chloe, so they hadn't seen each other for a long time.
Derek thought she understood and gave up. Out of his expectation, it seemed that it wasn't as smooth as he thought, for she came to see him.
"Derek, you're out of the hospital. Congratulations. I came to see how you were."
Chloe felt indeed uncomfortable. She was such a proud person, after being rejected so baldly, that it was not easy for her to swallow her pride.
However, she came after all, which was mostly because she didn't want to give others a chance. Especially since Derek got released today, she thought, he couldn't force her out.
After looking around, Chloe felt a little better, for she found that Meredith didn't appear at the Xaviers.
As expected, Meredith did not get the recognition of the Xaviers, at such an occasion, even the opportunity to appear.
This also made Chloe feel a little reassuring.
