The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 185

Meredith waited in the villa for a few more days, but there was no news. Although she saw the money she threw away on purpose was picked up, there was still no sign of anyone looking for her.

Perhaps she really had no choice.

The look of dismay came over Meredith's face.

...

For the next few days, perhaps Meredith was always so depressed that she caught a cold.

Her cold, coupled with the fact that she was pregnant and could not take medicine, made her feel worse quickly.

When Derek got the call, the maid said tremulously. "Young master, Miss Mason contracted a fever."

Derek frowned and said in a somewhat serious tone, "When?"

Because of the unpleasant thing a few days ago, he had already neglected Meredith for several days. He didn't expect that he would be bothered with her again soon.

"She caught a cold the day before yesterday, and now got a temperature."

Originally, those who took care of Meredith thought that it was nothing serious, and did not dare to disturb Derek. They just gave her the medicine normally and thought that she would recover soon.

They didn't expect she was getting steadily worse, so they had to find Derek to avoid the situation keeping darkening.

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

Derek threw the documents aside, took the car key, and strode out. He rubbed his forehead and his eyes darkened. And he drove quickly to where Meredith was.

Walking into the room, he saw Meredith was lying on the bed and he could only see her small face with the size of a palm. She had recently become thinner, making her more sympathetic and likable, although she had gained weight during her pregnancy.

Derek stared at the woman with her eyes closed. Was she fighting against him silently?

Because he didn't allow her to leave, she made herself so haggard?

"Where's the medicine?" Derek was in a bad mood. "Is this how you tend to her?"

All the people present were reprimanded and did not dare to make a sound. Only the maid who had been nursing Meredith said slightly, "Young Master, it's just... One can only be cured when finding the right medicine. Miss Mason has always been depressed. We've tried many times, but there's nothing we can do about it. And over time, she can't bear it. That's why she is like this now."

Derek was even more upset when he heard this. "Won't you find a way to make her happy? Get out. I don't hope it happens again, or all of you will be fired then."

When Derek finished speaking, everyone felt relieved and rushed out, afraid that if they were slow, they would be affected by his fury.

Derek also knew that he was taking it out on others. He was well aware of why was Meredith unhappy, even to the point of affecting her health. But could he feel free to just let her go?

Staring at Meredith's quiet face, the man clenched his fists. "Meredith, you don't even want to stay with me?"

However, thinking of it, Derek still sat down, watching over Meredith. Now, the doctor would not use common medicine, so Derek just used physical cooling methods, hoping to bring her temperature down.

Derek sat there, taking the towel off Meredith's forehead again and again, which was warm from her body heat, and placing it on her body after soaking it in cool water.
