Harvey looked at her red and swollen eyes and frowned. "Clean yourself up quickly. Don't scare my client away."
Embarrassed, she nodded immediately. "Don't worry, Mr. Specter."
In the evening, Nora did not expect to meet the client at the nightclub. She hesitated and saw that her boss was urging her, so she had to follow him.
In the private room, several bosses sat on the sofa and immediately got up to greet them after seeing them.
"Oh, Mr. Specter is here. Please take a seat."
"Who is this beauty? She's pretty." One of the bosses stepped forward and put his arm around Nora's shoulder.
Nora was startled and immediately dodged. Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room was a little awkward, and the boss immediately became unhappy.
Harvey frowned, stood up, and tried to mediate the dispute, then he glared at Nora fiercely. "What are you doing? Quick, go get a glass of wine and apologize to Mr. Cook."
"I'm sorry, Mr. Cook. This is my company's designer. It's my first time bringing her out. The little girl is a little nervous."
Mr. Cook looked a little better.
Nora pursed her lips and, at the request of her boss, poured herself a glass of wine and walked over. "Mr. Cook, I'm sorry. This glass of wine is to apologize to you."
She had lost her memory, but not her wits. She could tell that Mr. Specter had called her here today to accompany those bosses. She was very resistant, but she didn't know how to refuse.
"Well, it's good to know that you're wrong. I can understand that a beautiful woman has a temper, but people sometimes have to know their position and know what should they do."
Mr. Cook said calmly, picking up the glass from her. At the same time, he touched her hand and patted the seat beside him, "Sit here and have a few drinks with me."
Nora immediately said, "No need. Mr. Cook. Bosses talk. I'll sit next to you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, another boss pulled her over and forced her to sit beside Mr. Cook. "If Mr. Cook asks you to sit, just sit."
She sat uncomfortably, her body stiff. She took a deep breath, and the next second, a hand suddenly fell on her leg. She was startled and stood up abruptly and took a few steps back.
The atmosphere had not yet begun to warm up but she had made it awkward twice.
Mr. Cook's expression was gloomy. He glanced at Harvey and said in a strange tone, "Mr. Specter, I don't think you're here to talk about cooperation today. You're here to make things difficult for me."
"She's just a small designer. But it looks like she is a somebody. Hmph, the people in your company are really capable."
Harvey broke into a cold sweat and immediately got up to apologize. He tugged at Nora's clothes and whispered as he gritted his teeth, "What's wrong with you? I'm just asking you to drink, not ask you to die."
"Let me tell you. Our company's cooperation plans for the second half of the year will all be supported by Mr. Cook. I take you out to enrich your experience, but you act like this."
Nora lowered her eyes. "Mr. Specter, I'm sorry, I can't accompany those bosses."
Harvey glared at her. "What did you say? What's your attitude?"
She took a deep breath. "Mr. Specter, I really can't. I'll go out first." With that, Nora turned around and left, leaving the bosses behind her.
Out of the box, Nora breathed a sigh of relief. She felt much better now, but before she could take a few steps, she was blocked by a staggering drunkard in front of her.
"Jesus. Pretty girl. Alone? Go play with your brother." The drunkard grabbed her hand.
The strength the drunkard exerted on her wrist was so strong that she frowned in pain and could not help struggling. "Sir, please let go of me."
