The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 565

It seemed that Meredith never cared about him this way, perhaps because she never wanted to, or perhaps, their relationship had never been so close that they could speak their minds so freely.

"You go first. I'll be back soon."

Derek patted Jameson on the shoulder. Now that Jameson's wife was pregnant, it might not be proper to call him out.

"I'll call the company and let someone pick me up later."

Derek said calmly, and there was no difference in his expression.

Jameson thought for a moment. "Then I'll go back first. You, take care of yourself. Don't drive."

Derek nodded and watched Jameson leaving.

Then, he sat down on the sofa, lost in thought.

He wasn't in the mood to drink either, he was just in a daze.

The past of Meredith and him flashed through his mind. He remembered it so clearly. How could she let it go so easily?

Thinking about it, Derek felt dizzy. Perhaps it was not the wine that intoxicated but he got himself drunk.

He didn't want to go back, and he could just sleep here.

However, just as Derek was half-awake, a woman's voice came from outside.

"Is Derek here?"

As soon as Evelyn got off the plane, she immediately asked Parker about where Derek was.

Coincidentally, Parker had invested in this bar, so he sent the address directly to Evelyn.

"I'm sorry, Miss, this is the privacy of the guests..."

Hearing the waitress' words, she took out a gold card. "Where is he now? Tell me, then this is yours."

Looking at the card with a minimum credit limit of several hundred thousand, the waiter swallowed. How long would she have to work to earn so much money?

After thinking about it, she led Evelyn to the box where Derek was. "He's here."

Evelyn threw the card to the waitress and gently opened the door.

Originally, she was wondering how to greet Derek, but when she opened the door, the man actually closed his eyes, as if he was drunk, and fell into a deep sleep.

Evelyn got excited and walked over carefully, sat on the sofa in front of Derek, and looked at him affectionately.

It was the closest moment between them, and even she could feel the man's breath clearly, with a faint smell of alcohol. But Evelyn didn't dislike it at all. Instead, she was attracted.

Even if he was drunk and asleep now, he was so handsome, as exquisite as a sculpture, and could not find any flaw.

Evelyn reached out and gently touched Derek's facial features. Just as she was a little stunned, Derek suddenly grabbed her hand. "Mer..."

Derek wasn't awake yet, but he felt someone touched him and subconsciously made this move.

Maybe Jameson told Meredith that he was drunk here, so she came.

Thinking of this, Derek held the woman's hand and refused to let go.

Evelyn was very happy that Derek held her hand. But when she heard him saying Meredith's name, she was irritated.

What was so good about that woman?

In terms of appearance and figure, Evelyn thought that she was no worse than Meredith, and their family background was even more different.

But even if Derek was drunk, he still called out Meredith's name.
