Feeling uncomfortable all over, Meredith found some stomach medicine to take. She thought she would be better soon, but the next day at breakfast, she still felt unwell.
"I'm going to work first." Meredith went to work after grabbing a bite as she didn't want to look so weak in front of the Xaviers.
After thinking about it, she went straight to the hospital. Ignoring her illness was not an option as she promised Parker that she would take good care of herself.
After a checkup at the hospital, Meredith waited for the results of the checkup. After a while, the doctor called her over. "You're pregnant for two months. The fetus is healthy, but you're a little weak. You need more nutrition. I'll prescribe some folic acid for you later."
Meredith was stunned, and her mind echoed what the doctor had just said. 'She was pregnant. Two months?'
According to time, the father was the man in the presidential suite that night!
How could that be?
Seeing that she was not happy after hearing the news, the doctor thought that she might be another girl who had sex with her boyfriend without taking any contraceptive precautions and now she wanted to give up the child.
However, he couldn't bear to see the desperation on her face. "Remember to take contraceptive precautions in the future," he said lightly.
Contraceptive precautions?
Something came to Meredith's confused mind. Then man didn't wear condom when they had sex that night and she was so scared that she forgot to take the emergency contraceptive!
"Are you okay?"
"Doctor, I can't have this child. I want... I want to abort it!" Meredith returned to her senses and spoke in a trembling voice.
The hatred for that person was stronger than ever. Not only did he took her virginity, but he left a seed in her body.
She would never allow the child of that rapist to be born. Never.
"Calm down. Let's do a test," the doctor said in a pitiful voice, thinking that the little girl might have been deceived by a scumbag as he looked at her pale face.
Meredith hurried after him, trembling. She shuddered at the thought of a child growing up with the blood of a criminal in her body.
She had to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Soon, the results came out.
"Miss Mason, based on physical condition, it's not good to abort this child."
"Why? How could this be possible?" Meredith asked anxiously.
The doctor said apologetically, "You are already in bad physical condition, and it is very unlikely for you to be pregnant. If you abort this child in such a condition, you may not be able to get pregnant in the future. You have to consider this risk carefully."
Meredith was struck dumb by the news. The only thought in her mind was despair.
Why would this happen to her?
Didn't she suffer enough? Now she had a child with that man and she was unable to get rid of it?
"What if I insist?" Meredith calmed down and looked at the doctor with imploring eyes as if she was begging for the last straw to save her life.
"You should go back and think about it first. You'd better discuss with your family and the father of the child. I will arrange it if you insist on having an abortion in the end."
The doctor was deeply shocked by the despair in her eyes and patted Meredith on the shoulder before walking her out.
