Chapter 177
Stephen’s voice trembled with fear. “No! I didn’t! I just…”
“You just want to kill her again?”
Stephen shouted, “No! Tell me where she is!”
He was like a drowning man, desperately clinging to a lifeline. “I’ll give you another 10 million dollars. Please tell me where she is. She’s still alive, and I want to apologize to her in person. I won’t hurt her again.”
Ethan smiled. “10 million isn’t enough.”
“How much do you want?” Stephen urgently asked. “As long as I can afford it, I’ll give you whatever you want!”
“50 million.”
That figure hit Stephen like a ton of bricks. 50 million was not a small amount.
However, he thought of Snow and immediately agreed. “I’ll give it to you now!”
Once again, he gave Simon a call and told him to transfer the money to Ethan immediately.
“50 million?” Simon was shocked. “Why are you giving him so much money out of the blue?”
“Snow is still alive! Ethan saved her. Only he knows where she is now!” Stephen shouted.
“What?”
Simon
was stunned.
Snow was alive, and Ethan was the one who saved her? Even the Quinns failed to do it, so how was it possible?
Simon’s ears rang.
“It’s true. I read the letter Snow wrote to him. Hurry, send the money. I need to find her right away!”
Listening to Stephen’s frantic tone, Simon gritted his teeth and said, “Turn on the video call. I want to confirm this for myself.”
50 million was a hefty sum! That amount was enough for Ethan to bribe the guards. What if he bribed them and escaped? Ethan could not be allowed to leave Drakthorn Ridge!
Without thinking much of it, Stephen immediately turned on the video call. When Simon saw the desolate landscape, he was dumbfounded.

“Where is this?”
“Snow’s hometown. It was destroyed by the war more than ten years ago.”
Puzzled, Simon asked, “So, you’re not at Drakthorn Ridge?”
“Nope.” Ethan’s calm voice rang out from the side.
Simon’s eyes widened. “Is Ethan there as well?”
Stephen nodded and turned the camera to Ethan.
“How did they let you out?”
To think just a moment ago, he was just thinking about how he needed to keep Ethan on Drakthorn Ridge, lest he escape!
Ethan noticed how anxious Stephen looked and said calmly, “Don’t blame them. I came out on my own.”
“Huh?”
Simon was confused. If Ethan could come out on his own, did that mean the guards failed to stop him?
“That’s not important now.” With urgency, Stephen insisted, “Hurry up and give him the money. I want to know where Snow is.”
Simon heard the comment and knew that Stephen was beyond reason now.
His son owed Snow his life and was desperate to make amends, and Ethan, aware of Stephen’s weakness, already had Stephen under his thumb.
Simon stared at Ethan. “Do you really know where Snow is?”
Ethan smiled. “If you pay up, then yes. Otherwise, no.”
“Fine! It’s just 50 million. I’ll give it to you!”
