The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 133

Jonas hugged Lorraine tightly and looked away.

I felt a little helpless seeing him frown.

Lorraine walked to the side while giving me a helpless look. She also gestured for me to follow her.

I clutched my forehead. Trying to raise two boys was really not easy.

In the end, we decided to take the boys to the amusement park. This was a good way to improve their relationship. Although Xavier was no longer hostile to Lorraine, he still could not accept her coming along.

"I want Mommy! I want Mommy! If Mommy isn't going, I won't go either." Xavier pouted, refusing to let Lorraine come along.

"Cole, I don't think I should go."

The two boys were finally on the same page, and Lorraine didn't want to spoil their mood.

She handed Jonas to me. "Get Murphy to pick Ms. Langley up."

I looked at her apologetically. It seemed that I had to sacrifice her once more for the boys' sake.

"Just raise my pay." Lorraine winked at me.

I chuckled. "Don't worry. That I will."

At that moment, Yvonne rushed over with a contract still in her hand.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier that we were heading to the amusement park? I was still in a business meeting."

Langley Group's business had been doing well recently, and Jared was better off being in the entertainment industry. I heard that his recent advertising campaign was a success.

"It's not like I forced you to come."

I had merely called her out of courtesy. I never thought that she would come. In fact, I had actually hoped that she would refuse.

"I'm doing it for the children. Do you think I'm doing this for you?" Yvonne was clearly angry, but I shook my head at her, not wanting to say more.

The amusement park was half an hour away from the office. Yvonne said nothing to the children in the car.
