The woman immediately moved away from Quentin, asking in shock, "Y-You're a criminal?"
Quentin replied with gritted teeth while trying to get up, "Are you going to believe this man? He can't even look after his children."
He then made a phone call, and I guessed he was calling the person who backed him up for this job. If it was really Yvonne, just like what the guard said…
I stood in front of him with clenched fists.
I hoped that Yvonne wouldn't disappoint me.
Half an hour later, a woman in black stilettos and a red trench coat appeared. Judging from her height and long hair, it was definitely Yvonne.
"You psychotic bitch!" I reprimanded her. She would even sacrifice her son for profit!
"What are you saying—"
I slapped her before she could finish her sentence. Half of her face was instantly swollen.
"Cole, what the hell are you going on about?" Yvonne looked at me with widened eyes and quivering lips. She clutched the swollen side of her face.
"Did you get this man hired?" I didn't even point at anyone, but Yvonne turned to look and met with Quentin's gaze.
She looked back at me. "So what if I did?"
"So what? You surely must know his past. What were you thinking?" I took one step closer to her, backing her into a corner. "You forced Xavier to go on live streams, then you arranged for a man like him to become his teacher. Yvonne, how cruel are you?"
A crowd was forming, and Yvonne's expression turned ugly too.
When Xavier saw me, he looked horrified.
"Xavier."
He ignored me and walked over to Quentin.
"Mr. Dawson, are you alright?"
Why was he trying to console Quentin? Was he starting to rely on Quentin?
