The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 253

After that competition, Xavier became a mini-celebrity, and endorsement offers flooded in for him.

Yvonne looked at the stack of proposals on the table. "Xavier, take a look and see which one you like. I think the endorsement for this learning device is pretty good. You're so smart, so it'll definitely attract a lot of buyers."

Xavier lowered his head and replied, "You decide, Mommy."

In the end, Yvonne only picked out two endorsements. One was for a learning device while the other was for a beverage.

"Xavier's popularity is rising right now, but we can't overexpose him," Yvonne mused.

The most important thing was maintaining a good reputation. It would be best to let the public gradually accept Xavier.

Yvonne only noticed that Xavier didn't seem too happy about things after she signed the contracts.

She smiled gently and tried to comfort him, "Xavier, trust me. Once we get through this period, I won't make you accept any more endorsements."

Xavier had heard those words too many times before. He put on a faint smile but remained silent.

The Joplin family only found out that Xavier had stepped foot into the entertainment industry when Xavier started appearing in commercials.

"What are you thinking? A member of our family is trying to earn money in the entertainment industry? Do you even know what people have been saying about us? They're saying that we mistreat our children, and that's why Yvonne is pushing Xavier into the entertainment world," Grandma berated.

"Grandma, I only just found out about this myself," I said.

If Lorraine hadn't sent me the news, I wouldn't even have known that Xavier had taken on endorsements.

"Grandma, I'll handle this," I replied.

"How will you handle it? I even heard that you're going to do business with some thug? I think you've completely lost your mind." Grandma just said whatever came to her mind when she got angry.

As she berated me, Dad's voice could be heard as well. "I knew he wasn't reliable. If I had known that this would happen, I would've let Chris take over."

I understood his implications and sneered, "Your golden boy might not do any better than me."
