The receptionist was startled by Chris' attitude. She furrowed her brows and went to look for Hayden.
Chris did not look like he was there to find his older brother. It looked more like he was there to collect a debt.
Hayden followed the receptionist downstairs while thinking to himself when his father got another child and who the child's mother was. Was it Cole's mother? Or…
Hayden was pulled back to reality when he saw Chris. He stood there and stared at Chris for a long time before scoffing.
"So, it's you."
Chris looked up at Hayden. He did not expect Hayden to be so young. He thought Hayden would be older than him by at least ten years. Instead, the man in front of him was young and dashing.
Hayden was in his 30s, and he looked as charming as ever.
Chris heard that Hayden took over the company when he was in his early 20s, so he had been younger than Chris was at that moment.
No wonder the women in the company fawned over him whenever he was mentioned.
Chris was in a daze, and it was Hayden who snapped him out of it.
"Aren't you looking for me? So, what is it?"
Chris followed Hayden into an empty room. Hayden had decorated the room in a minimalist style, which suited his character.
"What do you want?" Hayden was not planning to let Chris sit down. There was not even a single chair in the room.
"My good brother, could we…"
"Don't call me your brother. I'm only Cole's brother." Hayden looked at Chris condescendingly. "Inviting you inside is the most I can do. Spit it out. I'm busy."
