The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 330

Xavier's anxious behavior was exactly like Yvonne's.

I looked at him trembling in fury. I was a little disappointed.

"You treat me as the enemy, and you won't listen to me." I bent down and looked Xavier in the eye. "Why are you so obedient to Jared, then?"

Xavier looked at me. "He's doing this for my own good."

What he said completely negated all the effort that I had put in so far. I looked away with a sigh.

"No matter what, I'm still your father." I patted Xavier on the head, but I didn't force him to stay with me.

I thought that after today's incident, Xavier would be completely disappointed in Yvonne. I never thought that he loved Yvonne more than I imagined.

"I'll call him right now."

I got up, planning to leave. Xavier suddenly looked up and tugged at my hand. There was a pang of guilt in his eyes.

"You don't have to apologize. It's your freedom to choose who you want to be with. I'll respect your decision."

If I didn't, he would be even more hurt.

After calling Yvonne, I went to accompany Lorraine. I guessed that Xavier did not want to see me, so I left the room.

Yvonne and Jared arrived together, walking in one after the other. It seemed like nothing had happened between them. I subconsciously looked at Lorraine next to me.

"Have you reconciled?"

I had to give it to Jared. He was a pro. He could so easily console someone as petty as Yvone. If only he had used this skill in his job, he wouldn't have been made a fool by me.

"What will happen to Xavier in the future?" Lorraine sighed.
