As Raylee brushed past him, she swiftly extended her left leg and delivered a powerful kick to his abdomen.

Although Casimir didn’t get sent flying by the motorcycle, the kick propelled him several feet away.

Excited, Raylee snapped her fingers.

If the masked man had seen that, he would surely have complimented on my increased leg strength again!

As if he had taken a nasty fall, Casimir laid sprawled on the ground after being kicked away. For quite a while, he couldn’t even get up.

“Casimir, are you all right?” Waverly immediately helped him up.

Cradling his aching abdomen, Casimir shook his head, yet remained silent.

He watched as the motorcycle sped off, quickly disappearing from sight, his fists clenched in frustration.

Waverly sobbed uncontrollably. “Casimir, she doesn’t care about you at all! Can’t you look at me instead? Only I have my heart and eyes full of you! Why can’t you just see it? I truly love you so much. We’re about to get engaged, can you just wholeheartedly be with me?”

“Oh, for f*ck’s sake… Stop crying, will you?” Casimir commanded with a stern expression before turning around to leave.

Raylee treated Halston like a free driver and had him take her to the outskirts of the city.

The Goodridge family had constructed a warehouse in the desolate outskirts, specifically for storing some large items. This included the personal effects left behind by Vera, which were also sealed away in there.

“Ray–Ray, you sure have chosen quite a unique location! Look, there are green mountains all around us. Imagine us breathing in the fresh air while holding hands, sharing sweet nothings, and expressing our love for each other! How blissful it would be!”

Halston had initially thought that Raylee wanted to have a date with him here.

He was utterly lost in joy in this desolate suburb.

Turning around, Halston saw that Raylee was heading toward a privately–constructed building and hurriedly followed along.

In the midst of his ear–piercing shriek, Raylee pulled out a silver handgun and, without hesitation, fired directly at the large lock on the front door.

As she thought of her strict mentor, a happy smile formed at the corners of Raylee’s mouth.

Over the past five months, the masked man had taught her a great deal about combat arts, as well as some basics of handling firearms.

Even without a weapon, she could single–handedly take on five or six men.

Halston was so frightened by the gunshot that he felt as though his soul had almost left his body.

He stared wide–eyed in shock at the large lock that had been shot as he muttered, “Ray–Ray, you…”

Seeing her straightforward and forceful way of opening doors, and the fact that she carried a gun on her person, was something else entirely.

Halston found himself filled with lingering fear as he had never encountered such a fiercely spirited and impressive girl before.

It was utterly terrifying yet irresistibly captivating.

He held a mixed feeling of reverence and apprehension toward Raylee, with his heart pounding incessantly.
