The Night I Let Go novel Chapter 77

"Okay. I appreciate it." Anya nodded and headed straight to the couch. She took a seat, but her eyes remained fixed on Molly, who was busy cooking in the kitchen. She seemed to be mulling over something.

About 10 minutes later, Zachary finished bathing and came out in a casual outfit. The three of them sat at the timetable and started enjoying the delicious dinner.

"I followed the recipe and made the beef stroganoff, Zac. I hope you like it." Molly took a piece of the beef and placed it on Zachary's plate with an anticipated look.

Zachary nodded with a smile. He quickly ate the beef and noodles before he savored the taste. "Mmm. It's tasty!"

"Really? I'll make more for you in the future if you like it, Zac."

Zachary knew it was important to repay the favor. So, he also placed some beef on Molly's plate. Her face turned red as she nodded and ate it.

Anya's face turned red with rage when she saw how intimate Zachary and Molly were. However, she couldn't let it show. So, she raised her foot and kicked him mercilessly under the table.

Zachary frowned from the pain. He was about to lecture Anya when he saw her pouting and staring at him with a sorry look on her face.

Anya noticed that Zachary didn't know what she was hinting at. So, she gave him a look and signaled him to get her some beef as well. He rolled his eyes before he placed some beef on her plate.

"Thank you, Zac." Anya smiled sweetly, and her voice was tender, almost as if she was acting coquettishly with him.

Molly's expression went stiff for a quick second before she raised her gaze and looked at Anya. Both of them locked gazes and there seemed to be electricity crackling in the air.

"Meatloaf with mixed vegetables is my best dish, Zac. Have a taste and let me know if it needs any adjustment." Molly also started placing food on Zachary's plate as well.
