The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 11

Freya looked into his reddened eyes; her heart was pained, and she felt that she could not breath.

He gritted his teeth and snapped. "Freya, I want you to apologize to me! Apologize to Abigail! You're the one at fault!"

"Your left hand deserved to be disabled!"

"Do you hear me? Apologize now!"

He was growling in a low voice.

She closed her eyes; he was grabbing too hard on her wrist; it hurt so much.

She broke free from him, and she slowly walked toward the two of them.

Nathaniel was so angry that his face turned pale.

The two of them were extremely awkward; they were considered Killian's best friends back then.

When the Gomez family was in trouble, they chose to be bystanders.

They were grateful for their choices three years ago. If not, they would be offending Nathaniel, which would cause them great trouble.

They could see that Nathaniel really despised the Gomez family; it was a pretty rich and resourceful family.

The Morgan and Rivera families were distributing the wealth of Gomez among themselves, and the two of them actually joined in to get the rest of the advantages.

They attacked the Gomez family at their weakest point by selling their stocks and evicting the Gomez family. Then they made a lot of money from it.

Seeing Freya walk toward them, they felt weird. But they could not do anything since she offended Nathaniel.

James looked at her and said with a dry smile, "Oh, it's Fay! I haven't seen you in three years; let me pour wine for you!"

She wanted to pick up the small wine glass, but James stopped her.

Lucas knew what James wanted to do, so he asked for a bigger wine glass from the waiter.

"Give me a few bottles of whiskey!"

She trembled upon hearing their words; her stomach could not possibly take it.

She looked at Lucas pitifully, wishing he could help her. She hoped that he would not torture her due to their past acquaintance.

She was newly discharged from the hospital; she could not drink anymore.

She might be dead from drinking hard liquor.

But she refused to apologize to Nathaniel and to Abigail. She would never apologize to them; Abigail framed her, so she would rather be dead than apologize.

James smiled and opened up the whiskey, which he poured into a bigger wine glass.

"C'mon, Fay, let's drink with the two of us!"

She unwillingly picked up the wine glass, and her hand was trembling. She saw the two of them smile cruelly.

She knew she was hoping too much; the two of them did not even help the Gomez family back then; it was impossible for them to offend Nathaniel now. She was not even useful to them in any way now.

They're doing this to me now just to please Nathaniel now...

She took a deep breath and gulped it down.

She was coughing as she choked on her drink; James smiled coldly and pinned her neck down while forcing her to drink.

She was left there paralyzed, and James grabbed her shoulder and said, "Ms. Gomez, you're such a good drinker!"

From Nathaniel's point of view, she was leaning into James' embrace; he tensed up.

She would rather throw herself at other men than bow to him; he was irritated.

Her stomach was in great pain, as she expected; she felt like throwing up.

Her face was totally pale, and she looked helplessly at James.

But James smiled at her and said, "Since Mr. Morgan wants to see you kissing me, come on." Ha, ha, ha!"

Lucas also smiled, as if Freya should be the one feeling honored to kiss them.
