Chapter 19 Are You Still In Love With Freya? 

After Nathaniel finished speaking, he strode toward the intensive care unit. 

Jacob stared at his back, and his facial expression turned cold. 

He was a carefree and wild man, and Nathaniel could not affect his decision about liking a woman or not; even his own father could not change his mind. 

On the outside of the intensive care unit, Nathaniel was looking at Freya, who was lying on the bed, through the window pane. 

She was still unconscious, and Peyton, who had changed out of her work uniform, was grabbing on to her hand tightly while sitting by the bedside. 

The monitor on top of her was showing her heartbeat, her heartbeat was so irregular that it scared him. 

He stared at her all the time, and he subconsciously fumbled out his cigarette. He froze when he was about to light it. 

He pinched the cigarette with his finger in irritation. 

A nurse came over with the medication, and she looked at him, surprised by the door. 

The footage of Nathaniel running off from his engagement ceremony was all over the internet. Some of the nurses were gossiping around during their break time, so this nurse was shocked to see him here. 

The nurse went into the room to change Freya’s dressing, and Peyton got out to buy some essential items to accompany Freya in the hospital for days. She had to call Della to take her leaves too. 

She almost bumped into Nathaniel when she walked out, and she subconsciously blocked the entrance. She soon realized that it was unnecessary because he could have killed Freya if he wanted to, he did not even need to ruin his own engagement ceremony. 

But she still looked at him alertly: Nathaniel actually did not want anyone to see him in this mess. 

I should hate Freya, isn’t that right? Why am I staring at her as if I’m in love with her? What a joke! 

He did not want to interact much with Peyton, who was staring at him; he walked away, but then he turned to say, “I’ll approve one month’s leave for you, and there won’t be any deduction in salary. You’ll be given bonuses 100.” He left after he spoke. 

Peyton was dumbfounded, and she muttered, “What a crazy man.” 

Someone chuckled behind her; she quickly turned around and saw Koen standing behind her. 

She quickly lowered her head and walked away; after all, it was not good to scold Koen’s boss in front of 

him.

A middle–aged man said to her in a shaky voice, “Ms. Hill, I didn’t expect the Ferrari to run into my way: I was almost killed.”

Her face crumpled, she took a puff of cigarette, and she sneered, “Well, it’s alright… No one would have thought that such a thing would happen.” 

But, now that Mr. Rivera is involved in this accident, it’s getting complicated now!” The man almost cried. 

“Ms. Hill, I was only in debt due to gambling… If Mr. Rivera investigates this matter, I might be charged with murder; my life will be over.” 

“Don’t you worry; I’m here for you. I’ll deal with it. You should go to the pier right now; I’ve arranged a ship to smuggle you overseas to avoid being found.” 

“Okay… Thank you, Ms. Hill, but I need money to survive… Can you…” 

She was annoyed and felt like killing him. How dare he ask for money when he failed miserably? 

She chose today because she wanted to make it even more special by getting rid of the women she 

hated. 

She did not expect Jacob to ruin her plan; if he really looked into this matter, then it would be really.

She then picked up another phone and dialed a number. 

“Check your bank account now; I’ve banked in one million dollars for you; the rest will be given to you as cash at the pier.

She took a deep puff of her cigarette; she was a totally different person in public. 

It was hard for her to pretend to be someone that she was not; she was a sinister, cunning, and vicious

She took another phone to call another person; she was whispering. 

“Yes, he’s at the pier now; go and settle him right now 

She put down her phone, and the maid knocked 

“Ms. Hills, Mr. Morgan is here.”

She took a deep breath, and she got out of bed. She rushed into the bathroom to take a quick shower to wash off the cigarette smell. She rubbed her eyes until they turned red, and she changed her clothes and went to the living room. 

Michael was sitting in the living room, and Nathaniel was sitting on one side of the sofa. The maid served them some coffee. 

The atmosphere was tense. Michael closed his eyes and leaned against the sofa. He did not want to talk with Nathaniel. 

If it were not for Nathaniel’s status, he would not even let him step foot in his house.

He looked up and saw her face. He felt guilty. 

She carefully walked up and sat at his side, and Nathaniel looked at both of them.

He was talking sarcastically. But Nathaniel was not offended; he then said. I’ll try my best to make it
