“Hello, Ms. Freya!” Maggie walked up to her to greet her.

She and Jenny were both the interns in the office, and Jenny was always ahead of her. When the internship was over, she thought she would be the one who left, as there was only one spot left for the design department. It was very hard to get a spot at Technologent Group because it offered. the best salary and benefits to its employees. The design department was not urgently hiring back then. They were just gathering some talents, which opened up only one spot. 

Jenny might not be as talented as Maggie, but she was well connected. Everyone thought that Maggie would be the one leaving too, but that incident happened out of the blue. With Jenny gone, Maggie became the permanent employee. She was beyond happy. 

The rest of the employees stood up to greet Freya after seeing her smile at Maggie. Freya came to the design department just to pack her things, and after that, she had to report to Nathaniel’s office, waiting for him to assign her the next task. The atmosphere had never been better in the design department, and she could not get used to it. She simply nodded to them and went to her seat to pack. Then she brought her things out of the office. When she was about to leave the entrance of the lobby, Maggie called her from behind. 

“Ms. Frey!” Maggie tried to get close to her by addressing her casually. Freya frowned and turned to her, asking, “Ms. Maggie, do you need anything from me?” 

Maggie lowered her head shyly. Anyone would have thought that she was just a naive and cute girl who was new to the workplace. She stared at Freya in silence for a while as she was unbearable to Freya. Her mood was sour to begin with as she said, “Ms. Maggie, please excuse me if you have nothing to say.” 

“Ms. Frey!” Maggie panicked and chased her from behind. She stood in front of Freya and said nervously, “Ms. Freya, your work at the auction was splendid.” 

“I was truly amazed!” 

“Ms. Frey, can I please learn from you? I promise to you that I’ll be hardworking. It’s been my dream to be an awesome designer like you ever since I was young!” 

“Ms. Frey, I will listen and obey every one of your instructions!” 

Freya looked unfazed, and her facial expression was cold. She would never reject a newbie who complimented her if she had never been through hell before this. And she might feel bad for rejecting her request, so she would end up agreeing to it. Three years ago, she might have given a false impression to others as an arrogant person, but the fact was that she was very helpful. If not, Jolin would not be able to trick and use her. 

Freya had no intentions of making new friends. She was too busy to be socializing with others. Maggie looked at her expectantly. She smiled lightly and approached Maggie. Maggie would never do anything unprepared. She knew exactly what she was doing.
