Chapter 41 

In the orphanage, Madeline was very much loved by her brothers there. 

But after entering Phantom Organization, they became more and more psychotic 

Every one of them was becoming slighly abnormal. 

They were becoming extremely dangerous. 

Madeline couldn’t really enjoy the love they were showering her with. 

She didn’t really want that shower of love from them. 

Madeline’s gaze drifted. Next, she had to figure out how to make them pay less attention to her. 

She disliked their possessiveness toward her. 

The taxi arrived at her destination. 

Madeline went in and started on the procedure to bail out Mary 

When Mary came out, she was carrying her luggage with her. 

The moment she walked out of the gate, she burst into tears. 

“Maddie, it’s you,” choked out Mary. 

The feeling of being able to bask under the suri was really freeing 

“I thought I will never be able to get out,” mumbled Mary. 

“Mary, stop crying,” comforted Madeline as she pretended to be relaxed and smiled. “Everything is fine now, all right? Don’t worry. I know you are innocent. You are free now and won’t have a criminal record.” 

Mary nodded as she took Madeline’s hand and said, “It is all thanks to you.” 

“What exactly happened?” Madeline asked. 

“I don’t know what happened. When I was at home, I would clean up the house every day,” explained Mary in confusion. “But Ms. Winslet Larson suddenly said that her diamond necklace was missing, and many people came forward to investigate. And… And they found the necklace in my room.” Mary added sadly, “Maddie, you know I’ve been with the Larson family for more than ten years. I would never do such a thing” 

Madeline nodded and said, “I know. Your only fault was being nice to me.” 

Mary was stunned and suddenly understood everything that had happened. 

“The whole family loves Ms. Winslet Larson. Why would she do something like this asked Mary. “You are the biological daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larson. They are being so foolish about this. I have tried to advise Mrs. Larson, but she… doesn’t want to listen to me.” 

Madeline shook her head. 

The fact was that they had no affectionate feelings toward each other. 

Adding on that was Winslet, who spared no effort to smear Madeline’s reputation.

It would be strange if the Larson family actually liked her. 

In the end, they never trusted Madeline. 

“It’s all right. I disown them. From today onward, I have nothing to do with anything related to the Larson family,” said Madeline as she took out the copy of her parents‘ will. “Look, Mary. Look at my parents‘ will. I’ve given up my inheritance rights.” 

Mary was in disbelief. After a moment, her eyes suddenly turned red as she choked out, “Ms. Larson, how can you be so silly? You are the Larson family’s biological daughter. If you let your parents change their will, doesn’t that mean you are giving up everything that’s yours to someone else? Don’t you want to be with your family after all the years of hardship you have been through?” 

“I used to think that’s what I wanted, too,” said Madeline as she put away her stuff and sighed. “Mary, I’m going to send you to my grandparents” place. It will be like you are taking care of them. I’ll pay you every month, just like how things were 

before” 

Mary shook her head and said, “I don’t need the money. I have no children or relatives. If you can provide me with a place to live, that’s more than enough. Now, no one would dare to hire me in Acocester. I will be satisfied if I don’t have to worry about where my next meal is from. Besides, I have my savings.” 

Madeline smiled and said, “It’s all right. I can afford that bit of money.” 

“But I thought you didn’t have money, Ms. Larson?” asked Mary 

“That was before. That’s not the case now,” said Madeline. 

Mary realized that Madeline was behaving very strangely that day. 

She was confused by Madeline’s remarks and could only nod, not quite grasping the full meaning of it. 

“Ms. Larson, please don’t act rashly. You are still young. It doesn’t matter even if you move out now. After some time, Mr. and Mrs. Larson will regret this. It won’t be too late for you to come back then.” 

Madeline didn’t want to talk about that anymore. Til take you to dinner and then send you to the station,” said Madeline. “My grandparents will pick you up at the station” 

Winslet was on the couch at the Larson residence while her mind was busy scheming things. 

Benjamin had also come especially to see her and stood beside her, looking on eagerly. 

Winslet didn’t refuse Benjamin’s offer of service. As she watched him peel grapes for her, she remarked, “Benjamin, you are so nice to me. If Maddie sees this, she will be sad. When Maddie returns later, you shouldn’t act like this in front of her. I don’t want her to be sad.” 

Benjamin sighed and thought, “How kind of Winslet” 

However, he didn’t really want to hurt Madeline anymore.

Tomorrow night, I’ll need to go to the airport and wait to receive the CEO of Glorious Group.”

“Of course. Although the Moore family’s asset is more than tens of millions, Glorious Group’s scale is bigger. Both my father and grandpa will be there in person. And as far as I know, at least half of Acocester will send people to receive the CEO,” said Benjamin. 

Thomas suddenly became more stressed. “Then, it’s still difficult for me to meet this CEO.” 

“I’m sure it won’t be,” said Benjamin as he smiled. “I’ve spoken to my father about this. You can go to the welcoming banquet with them.”
