Madeline chatted with Nolan for a while as

ate. 

She was almost finished by the time Caleb came downstairs. 

Gavin was right behind Caleb. 

“Maddie, how are you?” Gavin came over and touched Madeline’s forehead. “It feels normal now.” 

Hazel walked toward them in a hurry. 

“Some people are asking to meet with you outside. It’s the Moore family.” 

Caleb crossed his hands and stroked the rosary beads, “Invite them inside.” 

Madeline shot him a confused glance. The Moore family are here for Benjamin?” 

Regina and Joshua waited at the gate anxiously. 

When Hazel finally came to open the door, they hurried in 

They were about to reach the front door when Regina’s stride slowed. “Honey, what if it has nothing to do with them? Benjamin has been acting strange lately and was often missing.” 

Joshua replied. “His car is here, so obviously, this is where he’s gone missing. I’m just scared that they won’t admit it. Recently, he has been saying that Alina is Madeline. I guess that was why he came here,” 

Walking into the spacious and luxurious living room, they spotted Madeline. 

Madeline sat at the dining table, sipping on a bowl of soup. 

Regina also noticed the three men sitting next to Madeline upon entering. She didn’t have a choice but to lower her voice. 

“You’re having dinner. I’m sorry that we came at a bad time.” 

Joshua asked, “Ms. Larson, did my son come here to see you today?”

Regina’s face changed slightly “You’re truly Madeline?” 

An anxious thought crossed her mind. If Alina is really Madeline, then the recent events can be explained, but that means…

In the past, when Madeline was their to–be–daughter–in–law, Regina often wore contempt on her face. 

After all, Madeline had come from a small–time family. Thus, Regina had always looked down on her.
