Chapter 90 

It was early Sunday morning when Madeline went to Vanguard Corporation. 

She hadn’t gone to the company for her resignation ever since she broke ties with the Larson family. 

When she arrived at the floor where her office was, she saw that everyone in the secretary department was busy. 

Meanwhile, many people looked up at her when she appeared 

“She’s here.” 

“I thought she quit.” 

Madeline was a little embarrassed. After all, she had asked for so much advance for her salary after only working a few days and even lost contact after those days. 

Madeline wondered what the others in the secretary department thought of her. 

“Some people are just lucky. Selena tutted and continued, “After going back to studying g as soon as the new semester starts, they don’t even have to come to work anymore. I’m so envious. As for me, my life is tough.”

Madeline’s heart skipped a beat. She thought, “Glorious Group and Vanguard Corporation are collaborating? Why haven’t I heard

Glorious Group either.” 

“Ahem… Why would I be working part–time here if I’m the CEO of Glorious Group? Right?? 

Queenie nodded and answered, “I thought so, too.” 

When Madeline didn’t put on makeup, she looked gentle and obedient. On the other hand, her beauty carried a hint of aggression when she dressed up with makeup.

Queenie frowned. “Why are you guys so free? You’ve finished communicating with Glorious Group? We’re all colleagues. Be nice.”

Madeline raised her glass and splashed the contents on Selena’s face. 

Then, Madeline put down the empty glass and stood up. “You seem well–versed in the subject. I assume you’re very experienced in doing those things.” 

“Stop!” Selena’s curls were soaked, and her makeup was smeared. ‘Don’t think you’re all that just because you got Mr. Wagner’s attention. I will be waiting and laughing at you when he gets bored of you and abandons you, 

Madeline sneered and replied, “Go to a doctor if you’re sick. Don’t go crazy in public. It’s embarrassing.”

Meanwhile, Queenie suppressed her laughter. She knew the prominent young lady of the Youngs family had always been arrogant because of her wealthy family.

The former cleared her throat and said, “Maddie is right.” 

Selena stomped her feet angrily and said, “You’re just a poor bum. How dare you act so arrogantly and splash water on me? Just wait!” 

Brianna sighed and said, “Forget it. Calm down. There’s no need to get involved with such a person 

Later in the afternoon, Madeline did some leisure work in her office while practicing her speaking skills in Uprian. 

Thus, there were several study materials on her desk. 

When it was time to get off work, Madeline had to clean the office before she could leave. 

Unexpectedly, when Madeline went to the restroom, she suddenly heard some noise followed by a loud bang 

Shocked, Madeline then found that the whole office was dark, and the lights were off when she got out. 

Madeline went over to open the door and realized that it had also been locked from the outside. 

“How did this happen?” wondered Madeline, but she figured out instantly that it must be revenge for what had happened during the day. Madeline picked up her phone and quickly called Queenie, but she didn’t get through. 

Thus, Madeline called Matilda. Fortunately, the former was in a business meeting, so she told Madeline that she would get there in half an hour.
