Chapter 96 

On Friday, Madeline’s shadow, Gavin, finally had something else to do. 

Madeline didn’t ask much. She only knew that he had called someone with a gloomy expression the night before, and it was probably about the organization. 

Early in the morning, Madeline went to the classroom. 

She settled into her usual seat and opened her notebook, only to discover someone seated beside her. 

She didn’t even raise her head. “Harper, aren’t y 

it you usually the one to enter the classroom right on time? It’s quite unusual to see you here early today!” 

The person didn’t reply. 

Madeline looked up in surprise and saw Harper had just arrived. 

She was a little annoyed. “Hey, the seat beside Maddie is my exclusive seat. Can you move to another seat?” 

The boy was dressed in black casual attire, his head adorned with a cap that was pulled low, revealing only half of his unblemished chin. 

He raised his slender hand and pushed down on the brim of his cap. “Apologies, could you switch seats?” 

“I’m sitting here today.” 

The boy’s voice was cold and melodious, extremely alienated. 

Hearing this, Madeline was slightly stunned. 

She immediately recognized that it was Yohannes. 

“He… Why did he come here to sit with me in class?” she mused. 

Harper was a little angry. “Forget it. You look like a handsome boy, so I’ll give it to you! You’re lucky that Maddie’s bodyguard is not here today, or you will be in a bad state.” 

She snorted and seated herself indignantly on Madeline’s left, across the aisle. 

She gazed at Madeline and advised, “Maddie, don’t get entangled with random guys from outside. You and Gavin are a couple by choice. I don’t want the couple I root for to have an unfortunate outcome.” 

The boy reclined against the chair, retrieved a book from his fashionable bag, and placed it on the table. 

Then, he took out a pen and a draft. 

Madeline glanced at his pale rosy fingers and the pink–blue hair that framed his translucent cars. 

She hesitated, “You… Are you going to attend the class?” 

She didn’t flatter herself, thinking that the teenager came for her. 

Yohannes modded slightly, took out another script from his bag, and laid it on the table neatly. 

There were a few big words on it.

Obviously, he came here early to adapt to the campus environment and find inspiration for the new drama 

Looking at the title of the script, Madeline couldn’t help but clench her jaw. Yohannes was very strong in all aspects.

Madeline coughed wildly. “Harper, stop talking nonsense.” 

Harper didn’t think she was wrong 

She knew what the man was thinking about without delving too deeply. 

She thought, “There are so many empty seats in the classroom, so why did he have to sit next to Madeline? Humph! He initiates contact and yet has the audacity to appear indifferent toward Maddie. Who knows, he might be obsequious when nobody’s watching?” Hearing her words, Yohannes subconsciously looked up at her. 

At this moment, Harper saw Yohannes’s face clearly, She felt that he was very familiar for a moment, but she couldn’t figure out where she had seen him. 

The man in front was so extraordinarily handsome that he seemed to have stepped right out of a comic book. 

Harper was dumbfounded. She pondered whether she could take back her previous words. She acknowledged that she had indeed. spoken a bit louder just now. 

“I was talking nonsense. Yes, I was talking nonsensel Maddie’s still single, and I’m just a fool who enjoys pairing up random people.” After saying that, Harper blushed and looked away. 

She thought “It would be pretty good if Maddie is with this handsome guy. How could a girl as lovely and intelligent as Maddie limit herself to just one romantic interest? Having more options wouldn’t hurt!” 

Yohannes paid no attention to Harper’s train of thought, or perhaps it was better to say he didn’t care about the opinions of a bystander. He tucked the script beneath the draft and proceeded to open the book. 

Harper was right, Yohannes printed this script when he passed by the printer store just now. 

There were words on the cover, but there was only a blank inside.
