The Ruthless Lycan King Fell For His Slave Mate novel Chapter 114

Using the tip of her dagger, Lyra pricked her fingertip. When blood pooled at the tip, she pressed it to the barrier. During her research while making the serums, Beryl had read somewhere that the Wolf Mother’s blood could be used to break magical barriers.

It turned out to be true as the barrier between them and the beasts dissipated the moment Lyra touched it with her blood. As soon as the barrier was down, the beasts rushed towards them.

There were all sorts of beasts, from winged creatures that were as big as horses and serpents with multiple heads. Among the beasts were also corrupted wolves.

The division of the troop that had been assigned archery roles released a multitude of arrows, raining them down on the beasts. The arrows were created with special magical metal tips doused in poison, allowing them to deal critical damage to magical creatures with a single hit.

The second division of the troop shifted into their wolf forms and met the beasts head on. When it was no longer possible to use arrows, the first division switched to other weapons including guns loaded with enchanted bullets and daggers.

While the warriors engaged the beasts, Lyra and Julian made their way towards the castle. They did not want to give Valeria a chance to run away while everyone was fighting outside.

As soon as they walked through the front door, they were met by a group of witches who hurled magic attacks at them. The two evaded all the attacks as they streaked towards the witches, their weapons drawn.

Within minutes, they had defeated all of them and ventured deeper into the castle. They split up, with Lyra going into the east wing and Julian going west.

During her search, Lyra found herself in a huge laboratory. Walls on one side of the room were covered by shelves filled with jars filled with all sorts of liquids, bones, and plants. Other shelves held books. On the other side were cages holding various types of animals, from rats to snakes.

A huge fridge in the room contained cases and cases of test tubes containing different coloured liquids. Lyra guessed that they may be poisons. Hearing noise beyond a door in the far wall, Lyra moved towards it.

Turning the handle, the door gave way. Stepping in, the first thing she noticed were the huge cages. While those in the outer room held small animals, these ones held huge magical beasts. Some of them were lying lifelessly on the ground, while others paced the cages in agitation.
