Chapter 237 

“Wolf Killer” did not have the capability to directly call Aiden’s phone. Instead, he got in touch with the nurse station at the hospital and had them connect Aiden to the call. 

Aiden immediately had his team trace the incoming number, discovering that it was a virtual network number. 

Aiden had anticipated it, so it didn’t surprise him much. 

He answered the phone and said in a deep voice, “It’s me.” 

“Commander Shaw, it’s not easy to hear your voice for the first time after all these years.” 

“You won’t just hear my voice. You’ll see me soon.” 

“I’m hoping for that too. After all, your grandmother’s life is in my hands. Hahaha…” 

Listening to the frenzied laughter on the other end, Aiden remarked, “Aren’t you afraid you’re saying too much, and I’ll use voice recognition. to find you?” 

It was still possible to restore the audio to its original form though the other party used a voice changer. 

As soon as his words fell, the shareholder of “Wolf Killer” suddenly fell silent as if the pause button had been pressed. 

Inde was not the time for complacency. 

He stated, “The antidote has been sent to the hospital. Do ensure it is received.” 

After saying that, the call was promptly disconnected. 

Aiden put down the phone and handed the recording USB drive to his secretary. 

“Analyze the audio. Screen it with a large data and see if there is a match.” “Yes, Commander. I’ll make the arrangements immediately.” 

The secretary respectfully took the USB drive and went on, “Commander, a package with your name on it has arrived at the hospital. Should we send it for inspection?” 

Thinking of what “Wolf Killer” had said, Aiden shook his head. “No need. Bring it here.”

With a recent surge in poisoning cases, the secretary was worried that there might be highly toxic substances on the package. 

Aiden didn’t think there would be a problem with the package, because the purpose of “Wolf Killer” was not to kill him, but to exert control over him. 

It was more beneficial to have something happen to those around Aiden than to himself. 

Nonetheless, Aiden nodded. “Have someone bring the package over.” The package was swiftly delivered to the nurse’s station. 

The secretary put on rubber gloves and carefully opened the package. There was a piece of paper inside, and a small brown bottle with faintly visible white pills could be vaguely seen. 

The secretary picked up the piece of paper, revealing the written side to Aiden. 

The words on the piece of paper are printed out. 

“The antidote can only treat the symptoms but not the root cause. One pill per week to stay alive.” 

After reading it, Aiden picked up the pill bottle and examined it, finding two pills the size of peanuts inside. 

He knew that there would be no problem with the medicine, so he immediately took it to the operating room and called Cecilia out. “Ceris is the medicine sent by ‘Wolf Killer‘. It can temporarily save Gr a’s life, but whether to administer it to her or not is your 

decision.” 

Cecilia took the brown pill bottle and answered, “I won’t give it to Grandma Elaine unless it’s absolutely necessary.” 

There had to be something wrong with this antidote, as “Wolf Killer” would not be so kind. 

Aiden nodded. “That’s what I think too. It’s best to avoid using it if possible. How is she now?” 

“Her situation has stabilized for the time being. We need to identify the toxin and treat it accordingly.” 

“In that case, I’ll take one of the pills to the laboratory and have them analyze its composition.”

After Cecilia entered the operating room, Aiden asked for a sealed bag from the nurse. He then poured out a pill and handed it to the secretary. “Take it to the laboratory, and have the head of the department personally analyze it. Don’t leak this.”

The secretary left with the antidote. 

Aiden leaned against the wall outside the operating room and reviewed the clues he had found recently, as well as those provided by Charlie in his mind.

“I’ll go and see if I can help.”
